The Reason
Black Hole Sun Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Solo quiciera poderlo borrar

The Police "King of pain"
There's a little black spot on the sun today
It's the same old thing as yesterday
There's a black hat caught in a high tree top
There's a flag pole rag and the wind won't stop

I have stood here before inside the pouring rain
With the world turning circles running 'round my brain
I guess I'm always hoping that you'll end this reign
But it's my destiny to be the king of pain

There's a little black spot on the sun today
(That's my soul up there)
It's the same old thing as yesterday
(That's my soul up there)
There's a black hat caught in a high tree top
(That's my soul up there)
There's a flag pole rag and the wind won't stop
(That's my soul up there)

I have stood here before inside the pouring rain
With the world turning circles running 'round my brain
I guess I'm always hoping that you'll end this reign
But it's my destiny to be the king of pain

There's a fossil that's trapped in a high cliff wall
(That's my soul up there)
There's a dead salmon frozen in a waterfall
(That's my soul up there)
There's a blue whale beached by a springtime's ebb
(That's my soul up there)
There's a butterfly trapped in a spider's web
(That's my soul up there)

I've stood here before inside the pouring rain
With the world turning circles running 'round my brain
I guess I'm always hoping that you'll end this reign
But it's my destiny to be the king of pain

There's a king on a throne with his eyes torn out
There's a blind man looking for a shadow of doubt
There's a rich man sleeping on a golden bed
There's a skeleton choking on a crust of bread

King of pain

There's a red fox torn by a huntsman's pack
(That's my soul up there)
There's a black-winged gull with a broken back
(That's my soul up there)
There's a little black spot on the sun today
It's the same old thing as yesterday

What are your thoughts on the idea that there are musicians who share deep truths that are meant to be taken literally instead of being metaphors for internal struggles?

DaughtersofLilith

Well even that’s just an interpretation

There are lots of Esoteric Symbols and Truths hidden in music and lyrics for sure - Strawberry Field Forever - The Beatles

Of course, there is One-Song of the Uni-Verse. However, your missing the most profound Truth of these allegories. As above, so below; as without, so within. The Great Reset is not just an occurrence of the realm, but of each fallen hu-man also. Turn your understandings into innerstandings, and survive from aeon to aeon.

I showed my son, who's now 8, this among other End of World/Plasma Apocalypse/Eye in Sky symbolism, and he constantly it now in many forms of media. Interesting that he's living his life aware of this instead of like me, who grew up nearly 30 years before getting privy to this symbolism. I had to break the matrix I lived in but our children won't be so lost with a world paradigm so hard to break. Teaching out children this can save them from all lies and lures of the media and pop culture!

@Henk Henkste With that said, I'm not only showing that, I'm teaching what is accepted by academics and other possibilities. Nothing I know is fact; just open-mindness. For instance, for every 12 globes and Universal studio Earth's my children see, I'll pull up a map with the North Pole lands. I don't teach the plasma apocalypse is real, but I show that it is understood by our history to happen and we have countless songs/movies hinting at it as well.

If you're going to go out and call me a child abuser, please let me know what you think flags me as such and I'll discuss why either I disagree or why I need to change my ways (yet again!).

Henk Henkste

thats child abuse but ok...

Agree with your assessment except that he knew exactly what the songs about and pretended to make it up and not know .. MTV and record companies do not just put this kind of production into art lol
