In our reality, it seems that those who possess goodness or innocence are often taken from us prematurely.

We never knew what love was
We have never truly experienced genuine love before.

We trusted the wrong ones
We placed our trust in individuals who ultimately betrayed us.

That's the Reason why our guards up
We have become cautious and protective due to our past experiences of being hurt.

And I know I want better but who do I turn to
I desire improvement in my life, but I am uncertain of who can guide me towards it.

Where do We go from here
What is the next step for us in our journey?

Cause I've been up all night
I have been awake throughout the entire night.

Sleepless
Unable to find rest or peace.

Up late fighting demons
Engaged in a constant battle against inner struggles and personal demons.

Tryna look for Jesus
Attempting to find solace, guidance, or salvation.

But I just couldn't believe em
I struggled to have faith or trust in the help or support I sought.

Despite past and ongoing pain, I am persisting and exerting effort.
