FEVER
Blind Channel Lyrics

Bad habits and blasphemy
You wouldn't believe the shit I've seen
You see
Where I'm going you can't follow me
It's so high it's getting hard to breathe
I have a side I couldn't let you see
Ask myself
Who do you think you are?
Oh no, who do you think you are?
I'm nothing but a dreamer, dreamer
Stay alive for the shivers
Who do you think you are
Cry me a river
I bathe in the waves
Throw me to fire
I dance in the flames
I'm nothing but a dreamer, dreamer
Stay alive for the shivers, shivers
Die for the fever, fever, fever
Stop treating me like a fool
I'm freezing trying to keep my cool
You don't know me or what I've been through
So now I'm
Stuck in a body that wants to survive
While me mind is telling me to die
What doesn't kill me makes me thrive
Cry me a river
I bathe in the waves
Throw me to fire
I dance in the flames
I'm nothing but a dreamer, dreamer
Stay alive for the shivers, shivers
Die for the fever, fever, fever
Who do you think you are
Been living in a fantasy
Bad habits and blasphemy
You wouldn't believe the shit I've seen
Cry me a river
I bathe in the waves
'Cause I'm nothing but a dreamer, dreamer
Cry me a river
I bathe in the waves
Throw me to fire
I dance in the flames
I'm nothing but a dreamer, dreamer
Stay alive for the shivers, shivers
Die for the fever, fever, fever
Cry me a river
Throw me to fire
I'm nothing but a dreamer, dreamer
Stay alive for the shivers, shivers
Die for the fever, fever, fever
The lyrics of Blind Channel's "Fever" speak of living in a fantasy, with bad habits and blasphemy. The singer is struggling with a sense of identity, as they ask themselves "Who do you think you are?" and express their desire to experience intense emotions and sensations. There is a sense of rebellion and defiance in the lyrics, as the singer asserts their independence and willingness to face danger and risk to feel alive. At the same time, they acknowledge their vulnerability and the struggle to keep going through difficult experiences.
The chorus of the song repeats the phrase "I'm nothing but a dreamer" and emphasizes the importance of staying alive and feeling the shivers and the fever of intense emotions. The bridge of the song creates a sense of tension and conflict, with the singer feeling misunderstood and trapped by societal expectations that contradict their true nature. Overall, the lyrics convey a sense of a young person struggling to find their place in the world and assert their independence and individuality.
