She's as Beautiful as a Foot
Blue Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

She's as beautiful as a foot
She's as beautiful as a foot
She heard somebody say, the other day

Didn't believe it when he bit into her face
Didn't believe it when he bit into her face
It tasted just like a fallen arch
She's as beautiful as a foot
She's as beautiful as a foot
She heard somebody say, the other day

Don't put your tongue on the bloody tooth mark place
Don't put your tongue on the bloody tooth mark place
Her face changing now, a guernsey cow

She's as beautiful, oh so beautiful, beautiful as a foot
She heard someone say, the other day

Overall Meaning

At first glance, "She's as Beautiful as a Foot" by Blue may seem like a strange and possibly offensive song. However, upon deeper analysis of the lyrics, it becomes clear that the song is actually a commentary on superficial standards of beauty and the pressures to conform to those standards. The repeated line "She's as beautiful as a foot" serves as a satirical exaggeration of how ridiculous these beauty standards can be.

The line "Didn't believe it when he bit into her face, it tasted just like a fallen arch" may seem nonsensical at first, but it actually reinforces the song's message. The idea that a person's face could taste like a foot implies that beauty is more than just skin deep - it is not solely determined by physical appearance. The line "Her face changing now, a guernsey cow" further emphasizes the idea that trying to conform to societal standards of beauty can lead to a loss of one's individuality and uniqueness.

Overall, "She's as Beautiful as a Foot" is a clever and thought-provoking song that challenges societal norms and encourages listeners to embrace their own unique beauty.

Damn, I can remember hearing this as a teenager getting goose bumps, and chills. Songs like this are what made me happy and interested in life. Most of their songs are of a time-less nature, they are perfect. I tie myself in a knot trying to put into words how really good they are.
