Aaron, who hails from Auburn, Indiana, was surrounded by music growing up. After a brief stint in college; his father Jeoffrey, a professional gospel singer, invited Aaron to tour with him. Together they played more than 130 concerts annually for several years and recorded three CD's. The experience sculpted Aaron to the techniques of duo singing, which may be one reason why he never quite hit the jackpot after leaving to seek his fortunes as a solo artist.
Scott, who was born in Delight, Arkansas - and raised in Los Angeles started singing at an early age with his Uncle Jack; but, his strongest musical influence came from close family friend, Glenn Campbell. After high school, Scott, who had been acting as well as playing music, picked up work in commercials and on television shows.
Aaron and Scott teamed up after meeting on a music video in Nashville five years ago. It was an instant brotherhood! The two were inseparable! After years of friendship, and a bit of gentle pressure from their wives - the guys decided to see how it felt to sing together. They discovered not only did they have a perfect friendship, but also perfect harmonies!
One fateful day, the duo made it to Curb Records. There, they sat down in front of Doug Johnson, the A&R director for the new Asylum subsidiary, and performed. When they were finished, the first words out of Doug's mouth were "Man, one of you is really gonna have to screw this up to not make it work." With that, Blue County was officially born. Scott and Aaron have finished their sophomore album and it will be released very soon. Their new single "I Get To" can be heard on a radio station near you.

On a rockin' horse
Straight into the pale moonlight
Make believe of course
What's a little girl of eight
Supposed to do when she's up so late
She can't sleep
'Cause it sounds like hate
Ride on, ride on
Out to where it don't hurt no more
Ride on, come on
Back to how it was before
Momma cried, and your daddy cussed
Now all they ever seem to do is fuss
Ride on
Tommy Lee's got a space machine
He keeps her ready on the launchin' pad
'Cause there've been times he has seen
And alien invade his dad
So he heads out for the stars
Past the moon and straight to mars
What about the invisible scars
That come in the bottle that his daddy brings home
Ride on, ride on
Out to where it don't hurt no more
Ride on, come on
Back to how it was before
Your momma left, your daddy changed
Now you don't even know who's to blame
Ride on
Some people just lose control
Some people hit overload
Some people are like some people
They never thought they'd be
Now why can't we all see
The only way to go
The only way to cope
The only true hope
Is love
Everybody, won't you
Ride on, ride on
Out to where it don't hurt no more
Ride on, come on
Back to how it was before
Go ahead and trust your faith
There's still a lot of hope
It's never too late
So ride on the wings of love
Ride on
Blue County's "Ride On" speaks of the desire to escape from the turbulence of life, to where one is free from pain and hurt. The song begins by telling of a little girl, Madeline, who rides a rocking horse into the pale moonlight as make-believe because she cannot sleep due to the yelling coming from her parents' bedroom. The song then goes on to talk about Tommy Lee, who, with his space machine, heads out for the stars, past the moon, and straight to Mars, because he cannot cope with the invisible scars that come with his father's drunkenness. This song emphasizes the very thought that, at times, one feels overwhelmed or overburdened, and there is a need to escape.
Further, in the chorus, the songwriter advises to "Ride on," and to come back to the way things were before, indicating that we should not let our problems consume us. Instead, we should try to ride on, trust our faith, and remember that it's never too late. The only true hope is love, the only way to go is to ride on and not give up.
In conclusion, Blue County's "Ride On" is a plea to those going through trials in life to keep going, no matter what the circumstances are, and to hold on to the hope that love brings. It talks about emotional difficulties and the need to escape, but instead of quitting or letting go, the song expresses the importance of riding on and having faith in a better future.
