Crazy Love
Bob Dylan & Van Morrison Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I can hear her heart beat from a thousand miles
Yeah, the heavens open every time she smiles
And when I come to her, that's where I belong
Yeah, and I run into her like a river's song

She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She got a fine sense of humor when I'm feeling low down
Yeah, when I come to her when the sun goes down
Take away my trouble, take away my grief
Take away my heartache in the night like a thief

She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love

Yeah, and I need her in the daytime (I need her)
Yeah, and I need her in the night (I need her)
Yeah, and I want to throw my arms around her (I need her)
And kiss and hug her, kiss and hug her tight

Yeah, when I'm returning from so far away
She give me some sweet lovin', brighten up my day
Yeah, and it make me righteous, yeah, and it make me whole
Yeah, and it make me mellow down into my soul

She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love

She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love

I can hear her heart beat for a thousand miles
And the heaven's open every time she smiles
And when I come to her that's where I belong
Yet I'm running to her like a river's song

She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love

She's got a fine sense of humor when I'm feeling low down
And when I come to her when the sun goes down
Take away my trouble, take away my grief
Take away my heartache, in the night like a thief

She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love

Yes I need her in the daytime
Yes I need her in the night
Yes I want to throw my arms around her
Kiss her hug her kiss her hug her tight

And when I'm returning from so far away
She gives me some sweet lovin' brighten up my day
Yes it makes me righteous, yes it makes me feel whole
Yes it makes me mellow down in to my soul

She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love
She give me love, love, love, love, crazy love

@Andy @Alan B,
@Elston Gunn, Jesus!
I don't understand why music lovers have to sound like spoiled children arguing "mine is better, he's better, Bob is better than Van, Van is better than Bob...!!"

Enjoy, appreciate and thank the Lord for the gift of creativity some artists are blessed with and just
CHILL !!! 🙏✝️✌🏼

....and @Jordan Johnson that started this competitive useless thread.
Bob and Van were/are good friends. Let's be thankful for the music they made...both alive & well touring this earthly plane :)

Moondance, the album on which this song first appeared, came out in 1970. It was immediately a favorite, and I listened to it a lot, and was still listening in 1973 when I met a woman who gave me crazy love the likes of which I didn't know existed in the world. This song was part of the sound track of our long and crazy love affair, right up until her death 6 months ago. It's one of the things I listen to when I want to cry a little while remembering her. I can still hear her heart beat, and her sweet loving still makes me righteous and whole and mellow down into my soul.

This is one of the finest pieces of anything on the entire internet. Aren't you glad we're able to share it with each other right now, somehow and someway? That's beautiful. That's the good part of this thing. So – love to you and yours – wherever you are.

My favourite two singer songwriters of all time I've had the pleasure of seeing live. Inspiring, brave and hard working beautiful human beings.

My heart fills as do my eyes. This song encapsulates what art is in it's most basic form: Love. Crazy Love.

Love love love this video. I play this when im feeling down, when i'm feeling up, when i'm not sure how to feel. There is something about the harmony in their voices together that rattles my soul. From the warpy sound at the begining to the rough road this track takes, all the way to the heartache of wonderfulness it leaves you with.
