Ignite
Bridear Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

SHOUT OUT!
Are you ready to go?

Cry out!
Are you ready to go?

SHOUT OUT!

Are you ready to go?

Overall Meaning

The Japanese lyrics of Bridear's song IGNITE describe a powerful call to action, urging the listener to seize their desires and leave their doubts and fears behind. The first verse speaks of the world collapsing around them and the singer feeling as if they have everything they wanted in their hands, encouraging the listener to create an unshakable vow and reveal the suppressed shouts that lie within them. The chorus then follows with an exhortation to shout out loudly and cast away all doubt, declaring oneself ready for whatever comes next.

The second verse introduces a new perspective, portraying a sinister vision of a devil beckoning with the number 666. In response, the singer disdains shallow wishes and urges the listener to raise their beat-up hands, cut a path through uncertainty, and reveal the suppressed screams within. The chorus repeats and becomes more insistent this time. The bridge encourages the listener to cry out and shout until they're out of steam, believing that the truth will be reached eventually, while the final chorus reiterates the message of the first one, reminding the listener that they are unencumbered and ready to go.

@@monstergirl7695 - That's great advice. Perhaps, if you slip it into a reality tv series, or a
'cute' phone app, then our western girls may even see it.🙂

The 70's and 80s? You could even add-in the nineties and I still couldn't
think of any girl players (world wide) who were in the same league as the current
wave of Japanese girls (Well, except perhaps for Joanna Connor).
Then again, my awareness of inspiring 70's-80's female shredders is practically nil.

Ofc, these days, there ARE awesome girl players all over the planet, but in Japan,
imho, the (girl) rock music scene is on an entirely different level. -As in, plenty of
Japanese girls are certainly being inspired.The next wave of serious girl players is
coming up through the ranks (players like Li-sa-X and Yoyo -Ok, Yoyo is from
China, but WOW! 8).

BAND MAID already have tribute bands trying to cover their stuff (admittedly, with
mixed results - AA, Band Maid are a seriously tough act to follow).

Thanks to YT, I'm sure there's girls (and boys) who, at this very moment, are
listening to these superb musicians and drawing inspiration from how high
the bar can really be set.

Maybe, parents could be a bit more proactive. Give that little one a Guitar for
Christmas AND some lessons. -Who knows... There could be a Nobel Prize in it 😉

Bridear, Band-Maid, etc., whoever gave Japanese girls guitars should get the Nobel Prize!

@darthzet2532

Guitar, Bass, Drums... whatever xD

@metalfan1bob308

I totally agree. ;))

@monstergirl7695

I agree! I wish more women would play guitar/bass/drums. I'm a 55 year old female musician, and I've always looked for female players for inspiration. Back in the 70s and 80s they weren't always easy to find. The Go-Gos didn't cut it for me! It's amazing to see so many incredible bands coming out of Japan, like Band-Maid, Mary's Blood, Disqualia, Destrose, Lovebites, Bridear….Girls, go buy an instrument and start practicing!!!

@monstergirl7695

There were female players in the 70s. Check out Char Vinnedge's album with Billy Co, entitled Nito Function. Also, check out Fanny and Birtha. I think the best 70s female guitarist was April Lawton from Ramatam. She was so good that people refused to believe she was female!
