She's the One
Bruce Springsteen (Live Bootlegs) Lyrics

With her hands on her hips, oh, and that smile on her lips because she knows that it kills me
With her soft French cream, standing in that doorway like a dream, I wish she'd just leave me alone
Because French cream won't soften them boots and French kisses will not break that heart of stone
With her long hair falling and her eyes that shine like a midnight sun
Whoa-oh, she's the one
She's the one
it say's you're never gonna leave her
But there's this angel in her eyes that tells such desperate lies
and all you want to do is believe her
And tonight you'll try just one more time to leave it all behind and to break on through
Oh, she can take you, but if she wants to break you,
she's gonna find out that ain't so easy to do
And no matter where you sleep tonight or how far you run
Whoa-oh, she's the one
She's the one
Oh oh, and just one kiss, she's fill them long summer nights with her tenderness
That secret pact you made, back when her love could save you from the bitterness
Oh, she's the one
Oh, she's the one
Oh, she's the one
Oh, she's the one
Oh, she's the one
Oh, she's the one
In Bruce Springsteen’s song "She’s The One," he describes a woman who has a powerful hold over him. He describes her as having "killer graces" and "secret places," that no boy can fill. These phrases seem to suggest that she has something unique and special about her that other men are unable to capture. The singer goes on to describe how she stands in a doorway like a dream, and has an irresistible smile on her lips. However, despite his attraction to her, he wishes she would just leave him alone.
The lyrics go on to describe the push and pull dynamic in the relationship. The singer says that he is so drawn to her that he feels like he will never leave her. However, there is an "angel in her eyes" that tells "desperate lies" and all he wants to do is believe her. The lyrics suggest that the woman has the power to break him, but it won’t be easy. The singer ends the song by saying that she is "the one," suggesting that even though he is drawn to her and she has the power to break him, he cannot resist her.
Overall, the lyrics of "She’s The One" describe a complicated relationship in which the singer is drawn to a woman who has a powerful effect on him, but who also has the potential to hurt him.

I was there that night. The crowd felt like a mix of passionate football supporters and an old time religion revivalist gathering. Bruce greeted them in Spanish and Catalan and they went wild even before a note was played. This one brought the house down. You could feel the drums in your chest. Unforgettable

I was exactly 8 days old at the time this was recorded. Who thought that I came to YouTube nearly 21 years later and found it one of the greatest live performances ever.

When did this concert take place? Bruce is very grey now. Anyone know?
@tubecontributor3206
Actually it had to be at least as far back as 2011-when Clarence Clemons died

This song captures EXACTLY the relationship between my current wife and I when we first met. Not in every detail, but in the raw, intense, overwhelming passion. Since we're been together for 43 years maybe I should drop the "current."
