The synergy between 4 great players and the haunting, unique female vocal delivery of Sivan Bella Leshed, is what makes the Buffalos stand out in the local scene.
Their debut album (due August 2009) was recorded on an 8 track recording machine in a home studio and later mixed by legendary musician and producer Mark Kramer (who worked with Low, Robert Wyatt and others)

Nice to see these complimentary comments guys. And especially nice to see that there are people who notice that we aren't like Sabbath really. We did two shows here in Australia with Sabbath back in 1973, mainly because we were on the same record label. Those shows were very good for us because we were able to compare where we stood against a band we appreciated that had enjoyed success world wide. Personally I think we compared very favourably. Our biggest hurdle (which we never quite overcame) was the reactionary radio stations who couldn't come to terms with our style; compounded by the Australian arm of our record company which refused to back us to take up offers from the US and Europe because (in their words) "an Australian band can't possibly make it O/S". I consider it (although rather late in the day) proof that they were wrong because our albums continue to be collected world wide by folk who know good music when they hear it.

Funny you mention that "no Aussie band will make it overseas!" Your label was dead wrong, considering AC/DC conquered the world pretty early. From an 80's metal head, you guys are pretty killer. Should head back in to the studio and crank out another album, with modern gear. Anyway, why "Buffalo" when they are not native to Australia?
