Turning Away
Business of Dreams Lyrics
Watch your neck
This place is a big old wreck
Dry your face
We gotta get out of this place
In these times
When the unfulfilled life is a crime
Bought and sold
To a jeweled hand so cold
Total disarray
The world is turning away
We were sold a bill of goods
Before we even knew they could
A sad lament
About the sorry way the state went
At the back of my mind
In a dream where everything is fine
Future days of waste
Begin to fade to grey
This place is a big old wreck
Dry your face
We gotta get out of this place
In these times
When the unfulfilled life is a crime
Bought and sold
To a jeweled hand so cold
The world is turning away
We were sold a bill of goods
Before we even knew they could
A sad lament
About the sorry way the state went
At the back of my mind
In a dream where everything is fine
Future days of waste
Begin to fade to grey

I was a creative director working on Fortune 500 brands and IP’s like Marvel / Star Wars for over 20 years. Eventually I walked away from the all the corporate industry bs to create my own clothing lines and fulfill my actual dreams as a creative. I don’t regret the time I spent working for those big brands cause I gained great experience but I should have taken the leap much earlier. It’s never too late. Great video! 👍

I met a retired salesman in his 60’s finishing up his history degree. His dream was to be a history teacher. When most folks are retiring he was starting something new. I never forgot him.

@Greg Massimaybe, he finally had his mind made up, he’s still living, no one says you have to retire by a certain age. If you’re still living and are able to continue on with your goals, then why not try to accomplish them?
