Overall Meaning

As the lyrics are instrumental, there are no specific words or phrases to analyze. However, we can dissect the music and explore the feelings and emotions conveyed through the melody and arrangement. "Meditation" by C. Santana and J. McLaughlin is a calming and meditative musical composition that aims to evoke a sense of inner peace and tranquility in the listener. The song features a minimalist arrangement, with gentle acoustic guitar strumming and atmospheric keyboard chords that create a dreamy and introspective atmosphere.

Throughout the song, the guitar and keyboard trade off solos, each instrument building upon the other's melody and creating a sense of musical dialogue. The slow tempo and spacious production allow listeners to take their time to reflect and find clarity in their thoughts. "Meditation" is an excellent example of how music can be used to promote a sense of well-being and mindfulness, allowing listeners to escape from the stresses of daily life and connect with themselves on a deeper level.

I played this album until the grooves were worn, LOL! Life Divine just slays me, it evokes some kind of feelings that are deep and reflective. It is music like this that made me understand that you can say so much without a single word. It has pulled me out of a many dark place, mentally. This was my combat against depression.

Spiritual dialogue at its best between Carlos and John.

Still the most spiritual electric music I've heard in all my 67 years. Been devoted to this since 1973.

You should check out Sonny Sharrock's album Ask The Ages as well. Carlos rates Sonny, and that album is beautiful.
