Souvenir
Campdogzz Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Feel my head
Probably should have stayed in bed
Souvenir
Come right here
I'll be yours a little bit
Did you want to get me gone
Did you want to get me
Smoldering is your rest
You make it look good
Souvenir
Come right here
Let me feel you miss your dead
Did you want to get led on
Did you want to get me
Well that train is going by
Well that train is going
Did you want to get me gone
Did you want to get me
Well that train is going by
Well that train is going
Did you want to get me gone
Did you want to get me
Well that train is going by
Well that train is going
The song "Souvenir" by Campdogzz has a hauntingly beautiful quality to it. It begins with the line "Hold the wheel, feel my head," which creates a sense of intimate vulnerability. The singer is admitting to feeling overwhelmed, and perhaps regretful about leaving their bed that day. But then the chorus of "Souvenir, come right here, I'll be yours a little bit," offers a sense of comfort, as if the singer is willing to surrender themselves to the listener, if only for a short time.
The second verse delves even deeper into the melancholy vibe, with the line "Smoldering is your rest, you make it look good." It seems as though the person they are speaking to has a skill or habit of making sadness seem almost appealing. The repeated refrain of "Did you want to get me gone, did you want to get me" adds a layer of desperation to the song, as if the singer is pleading with the listener to make a choice before the metaphorical train of life moves on without them.
Overall, "Souvenir" is a song that explores themes of regret, sadness, and the fleeting nature of human connection. It's a song that invites the listener to surrender to the moment and feel the full weight of their emotions.

I'm all for wierd and off putting sound but that riff is just straight up annoying and takes away the focus from Jess. Otherwise great song
