Noto left the group in 2011 and was replaced by Christina Picciano. A new song, "What I'm Made Of," was released for free on their Bandcamp page the same year. The band also released a split seven-inch with Sister Kisser, which featured two new songs. Baldwin departed after the sessions and was replaced by Christian Migliorese. This line-up would go on to record the band's second album, entitled Everything's Amazing and Nobody's Happy. It was released via Kind Of Like Records on September 27, 2011. Picciano was the next member to depart in early 2012, and was replaced by Matthew Ferraro. An acoustic EP was released in March 2012. The band went into the studio with Chad Gilbert of New Found Glory and Shai Hulud months later to record their next EP. They would also get the chance to tour with New Found Glory in the winter of 2012. The EP, The Best Ways to Disappear, was released on November 7, 2012.
In April 2013, Migliorese parted ways with the band; and was replaced by John Clifford. The band also released a seven-inch, entitled Miles & Interstates, via Bridge Nine Records that year. 2014 saw Hayes, the only other original member of the band, depart to start a family and to be a stay-at-home dad. He has not been replaced, coverting the band into a trio. This line-up of the band returned to the studio once again to work with Chad Gilbert on their third studio album. The album, All the Ways You Let Me Down, was released in June 2014.
Bad Idea
Candy Hearts Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And I′m not sure why;
I guess I don't know how to deal
With all the things on my mind,
Like how my coffee is black
And that′s how you like yours,
How the sweetness of your voice
But you're a bad idea and I know it.
You're a bad idea and I know it.
Well, I will do it anyway;
My heart won′t listen to my brain.
You′re a bad idea and I know
I want to be a little reckless with you,
Pick a penny up on the unlucky side,
Trace a curse word into the back of a car
That hasn't been washed in a while
And there′s worn off paint where the rust shows through
The same things I see in me and you
Like how the concrete sprouts blades of grass
And I'll still smile when you fill our tank up
But you′re a bad idea and I know it.
You're a bad idea and I know it.
Well, I will do it anyway;
My heart won′t listen to my brain.
You're a bad idea and I know it.
You know the best ways to disappear
And you do what you do because you feel like it.
You're unpredictable
But there′s something about you I want to know.
I want to know.
You′re a bad idea and I know it.
You're a bad idea and I know.
You′re a bad idea and I know it [x3]
And you do what you do because you feel like it.
In Candy Hearts's song "Bad Idea," the singer is conflicted about their feelings for someone they know is not good for them ("you're a bad idea and I know it"). They take the long way home, unable to deal with the thoughts swirling in their head, like the fact that their coffee order matches that of the person they can't resist. The sweetness of the person's voice is also noted as a source of temptation. The singer wants to be reckless with this person, engaging in activities like tracing curse words on a dirty car and being on the unlucky side of a penny. The imperfections they see in the person and themselves, like the rust on the car and the grass poking through the pavement, are still cause for a smile. The person they are drawn to is unpredictable, but the singer still wants to know more about them.
Overall, the song portrays a common struggle in relationships - the pull towards someone who is not necessarily good for us. The conflict between the heart and mind is clear, as the singer acknowledges the person is a bad idea, but cannot resist the temptation to be with them.

Exactly my thoughts it's cool to see a pop-punk band that really emphasizes on the Pop side and doesn't try to act like a bunch of tough guys.
