Originally, Carnival In Coal signed to and released their debut album though the now-defunct French indie label War On Majors Records. The band then released two albums through another French based independent Metal label, Season of Mist, and later signed a multi-album deal to Earache Records and their Elitist Records sub-label. The only album to come from this deal was 2005's Collection Prestige.
The band played its first live show ever in April 2006 at the Killer Fest in Chaulnes (France) and then went on to play several dates across Europe, including festivals like Hellfest Summer Open Air in France and Brutal Assault in Czech Republic.
The band officially disbanded in September 2007.
Since then, Axl has joined Wormfood and C-Rom and also works as a producer at the Walnut Groove Studio. In 2009 he formed The Lovotics with Wormfood's Emmanuel Lévy.
In 2008 Arno formed KrOaK with Marc Pijcke (ACN, Killing Condoms) and also joined Maladaptive. In 2007, he was approached by Scarve to replace Guillaume Bideau. After some rehearsals he finally refused the offer. In 2013 he released a collaborative album as 6:33 & Arno Strobl. He also founded We All Die (Laughing).
In January 2014 Arno Strobl announces a Vivalavida 15th anniversary tour scheduled in summer. In July 2014 he announced that the band changes its name to CinC no to be considered as a reunion since Axel is not part of the new line-up.

Cartilage Holocaust
Carnival in Coal Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
And my hand through the hole
And my crotch beats the rhythm
Of the flashing light
It's a little too early
To pick up a bone
Or steal a souvenir
Crashes and drownings and arson fires
The birth and the breeding of desire
Meet me at the scene of the crime
Hiding a satisfaction smile, say
Blood-o-rama (oyoyo) can you feel it
Ain't nothing better to feel alive
Smell of coma (oyoyo) I can't help it
Gets me relaxed and bucked up
Ain't no drama (oyoyo) just forget it
There's no reason there's no cause
Splattered remains overdose
Cartilage holocaust
I heard a neck snappin'
Think I heard a jaw crackin'
Drunk at the wheel
Here's another pal crashin'
Half naked bodies lying dislocated
Wide opened torsos, members isolated
A real delight for the eyes
The real beauty is inside
(Check out the real beauty)
Humerus, radius, humerus, radius
Duodenum...
Humerus, radius, humerus, radius
Cerebellum...
Humerus, radius, humerus, radius
Sacrum...
Humerus, radius, humerus, radius
Chewing-Gum...
Blood-o-rama (oyoyo) can you feel it
Ain't nothing better to feel alive
Smell of coma (oyoyo) I can't help it
Gets me relaxed and bucked up
Ain't no drama (oyoyo) just forget it
There's no reason there's no cause
Splattered remains overdose
Cartilage holocaust
I heard a neck snappin'
I thought I heard a neck snappin'
All right
“Cartilage Holocaust” by Carnival in Coal is a song that opens up with a statement about a hole in the singer’s pocket. The singer puts their hand through the hole and their crotch starts beating to the rhythm of a flashing light. They feel that it is too early to pick up a bone or steal a souvenir from a body bag. The lyrics go on to describe different scenes of violence such as crashes, drownings, and arson fires. The singer asks if the listener can feel the excitement of the blood and carnage, and describes the smell of coma that gets them relaxed and excited. The song closes with a list of body parts such as humerus, radius, cerebellum, and sacrum, that are potentially associated with the scenes of violence just described.
