SENIOR
Catherine Ringer Lyrics

Avant d'être un œuf?
J'sais pas, j'sais pas, mais en tous cas
Après l'œuf j'étais poussin
C'était bien
Je passais qu'à l'aise
C'était frais
Je fus réglée alors
Sculptée par l'âge adulte
La vie et me voilà
"Et alors senior c'est comment?
Senior? J'adore, j'adore"
Le jeu avance
Ce sont là de très bons niveaux
Toujours intenses
Sans bas ni haut
Comme la partie dure
Je la joue plus apaisée
Ma technique est sure
Je veux la partager
Ah, jeu fatal
Suspens, trou
J'adore
These lyrics are from the song "Senior" by Catherine Ringer. The song explores the different stages of life and the perspective of aging.
In the first verse, the lyrics reflect on the question of what life was like before existence, using the metaphor of an egg. The singer admits to not knowing the answer, but acknowledges the different stages of life that they have experienced.
The second verse describes the stages of being a chick and then a junior, where life felt easy and fresh. However, as the lyrics continue, it is revealed that the singer is now in the senior stage of life. When asked about it, they respond with enthusiasm, saying "I love it, I adore it."
The third verse speaks about the game of life progressing and reaching different levels or stages. The singer describes their approach to this stage as more peaceful and sure. They express a desire to share their technique with others. However, there is also a fear of suffering and fear of becoming less attractive with age. Despite these fears, the singer listens to their heart and feels something.
The fourth verse reflects on the passage of time and the need to improve and drive better. The singer acknowledges that time seems to be moving faster and they must adapt. The chorus then reiterates the joy and love the singer has for the senior stage and the game of life.
Overall, these lyrics convey a mixture of acceptance, nostalgia, and excitement for the senior stage of life. The song suggests that despite the challenges and fears, there is beauty in embracing the journey and being surrounded by childhood innocence until the end.

Merci
