In 2008, iTunes named Chase one of the best new singer/songwriters of the year. Since then, he has continuously been on the iTunes top 100 singer/songwriter chart alongside classic artists such as Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel and Nick Drake and great new artists such as William Fitzsimmons, The Weepies and Brett Dennen. Recently, Chase’s song “If the Moon Fell Down Tonight” was featured on an iTunes Essentials Rising Stars compilation.
To date, he has released one full-length CD (Look How Far We’ve Come) and three EPs (Dear Juliet, Goodbyes and Autumn Skies and December), selling more downloads than many of his contemporaries.
This year Chase is recording his first studio album for Universal Republic with a cinematic acoustic and string production that will further distinguish Chase and bring more attention to his music. In addition, Chase has toured extensively this year for the first time bringing his music live to the large fan base he has developed across the U.S. and the world.

Losing Sleep
Chase Coy Lyrics

Always in a hurry just to grow up too fast
But we've got time
Yeah, we've got time
The seasons always changing but we can't let go yet
Setting two alarms in case we happen to forget
That we've got time
And you don't have to go
We've got our plans but we keep our voices low
And baby that's the way that these things go
We must be patient while we're waiting for the final cord to play out for our song
We're both losing sleep just to make our time last
Trying just to hold onto the memories that we have
But we've got time
Yeah, we've got time
A year's already past us but we can't let go yet
The calendar reminds us when we happen to forget
That we've got time
Yeah, we've got time
And you don't have to go
We've got our plans but we keep our voices low
And baby that's the way that these things go
And you don't have to go
We've got our plans but we keep our voices low
And baby that's the way that these things go
We must be patient while we're waiting for the final cord to play out for our song
So in the meantime take a breath and sing along
Chase Coy's song Losing Sleep appears to be about the rush to grow up and moving forward too quickly while still trying to hold on to precious moments. Coy sings about the struggle to balance time and the desire to make memories last. He acknowledges that he and his partner are both in a hurry to get to the next phase of their lives but wants them to remember that they have time to slow down and cherish each moment.
In the first verse, Coy sings, "We're both losing sleep just to make our time last, always in a hurry just to grow up too fast." Here, he's highlighting the struggle to slow down and appreciate each moment as they come. He recognizes that they're caught up in the rush of life but wants to remind them that they have time to slow down and enjoy the present.
In the second verse, he sings, "The seasons always changing but we can't let go yet, setting two alarms in case we happen to forget that we've got time." He's acknowledging that time is constantly moving forward, but they still have the opportunity to slow down and cherish each moment.
Overall, Losing Sleep is a reminder to slow down, take a breath, and enjoy each moment, even when life seems to be moving too quickly. It's a song about living in the now and appreciating every moment while recognizing that time is always moving forward.
