In 2008, iTunes named Chase one of the best new singer/songwriters of the year. Since then, he has continuously been on the iTunes top 100 singer/songwriter chart alongside classic artists such as Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel and Nick Drake and great new artists such as William Fitzsimmons, The Weepies and Brett Dennen. Recently, Chase’s song “If the Moon Fell Down Tonight” was featured on an iTunes Essentials Rising Stars compilation.
To date, he has released one full-length CD (Look How Far We’ve Come) and three EPs (Dear Juliet, Goodbyes and Autumn Skies and December), selling more downloads than many of his contemporaries.
This year Chase is recording his first studio album for Universal Republic with a cinematic acoustic and string production that will further distinguish Chase and bring more attention to his music. In addition, Chase has toured extensively this year for the first time bringing his music live to the large fan base he has developed across the U.S. and the world.

But something was changing and 'round came the fall,
And by winter she ended it all.
By winter she ended it all.
And oh you'll be fine when the seasons come 'round
And you'll love once again
But for now you'll be hurting and desperate
Oh be patient while time heals the pain that you're in.
Another summer, just like all the others.
And you fell in love by the springtime.
But something was changing and 'round came the fall.
And by winter you ended it all.
By winter you ended it all.
And oh you'll be fine when the seasons come 'round
And you'll love once again
But for now you'll be hurting and desperate
Be patient while time heals the pain that youre in.
Oh be patient while time heals the pain that you're in.
And oh you'll be fine when the seasons come 'round
And you'll love once again
But for now you'll be hurting and desperate
Be patient while time heals the pain that youre in.
Oh be patient while time heals the pain that you're in.
The lyrics of Chase Coy's song "Seasons" chronicles the cycle of love and heartbreak. The singer begins by recounting a summer fling that lead to a relationship by the springtime. However, come autumn, something changed and by winter, his partner had ended the relationship, leaving him heartbroken. Despite the pain he is going through, he is told to be patient and that he will be able to love once again when the seasons turn.
The second half of the song describes a similar scenario. After another summer fling, the singer falls in love again by the springtime. But yet again, by the time winter approaches, he found himself ending the relationship. Despite this pattern of love and loss, the singer is still hopeful and is told to be patient as he waits for the pain to subside with the changing of the seasons.
Overall, "Seasons" highlights the cyclical nature of love and heartbreak. While it may seem like the pain will never end, the singer is reminded that with time, he will heal and be able to love again.
