Spidey-Bells
Chris Pine Lyrics

Swinging through Midtown
Oh, what fun to sling a web
And take the bad guys down
Spidey Bells, Spidey Bells
Quipping all the time
Oh, what fun to swing around
Thwipping through the streets
Of New York every night
Wrapping bad guys up
In my web so tight
Crawling up the walls
Making villains fight
What fun to make the holidays
Free from crime tonight
Oh, Spider Bells, Goblin smells
Vulture laid an egg
Spider-Buggy blew a tire
Venom got away-ay
Spidey Bells, Spidey Bells
Swinging all the way
Oh, what fun it is to fight
The bad guys every night
Swinging through the streets
A web of spider silk
Kicking all the butts
Of villains and their ilk
Bombs from goblins fling (fling!)
Pumpkins burning bright (bright!)
How hard it is to consistently bring
Peace to New York all night
Oh, Spidey Bells, might be swell
To do more than fight crime
I got a lotta qualities that don't get much airtime
I-I can sing, I can dance
I tell jokes, I act
I get big, big... big deal, my agent call me back
Why did I agree to do this stupid song?
I have a degree in Chemical Engineering
I thought it would be fun
To show this side of me
But now I feel it lacks
Artistic integrity
Oh, Spidey Bells, Spidey Bells
Is this who I've become?
Selling out my good name for an impulse buy
How dumb
Oh, Spidey Bells, Spidey Bells
I'm filled with deep regret
I'm cancelling this song's release
For the press I get
Oh, Spidey Bells, Spidey Bells
Swinging through Midtown
Oh, what fun to sling a web
And take the bad guys down
Chris Pine's Spidey-Bells is a fun and upbeat take on the classic Christmas carol Jingle Bells, with a Spider-Man twist. The song is about the thrill Spider-Man feels when he's swinging through the streets of New York, fighting crime and taking down bad guys. The song includes references to some of Spider-Man's most notorious villains, including the Green Goblin and Venom, as well as his trusty spider-sense which helps him fight crime.
The song's lighthearted tone is further emphasized by Spider-Man's quipping and playful attitude, as he jokes about his various talents, including singing, dancing, acting, and even his degree in Chemical Engineering. However, as the song comes to an end, Spider-Man's regret for selling out his good name to create this song becomes apparent. He cancels the release of the song to avoid tarnishing his reputation.

I love how Spidey just starts out so enthusiastically only to realize mid-song how he's squandered his talents to finally break down completely. He really IS the Everyman.
@asign5515
CoolDoominator An Everyman is a character that represents the normal audience/people. Peter Parker is one of the most down-to-earth characters,(despite his superpowers) because the problems he faces are problems we face, like money problems, relationship problems, emotional problems, drama, etc., etc..

isn't that someone else and not spidey man?
@MysteriousJojo
It sounds like they shoved Peter into a booth and did the whole thing in one take without giving him the structure or nothing
@juniorjunior5884
They told him to just have fun and make up the words as he goes, then everyone got quiet when he started to break down. It was too awkward to ask him to redo it so they just used the first take.

Yeah
I havent even seen the movie and this song immediately made me imagine Peter doing that
Like he's in his Spider suit in a recording studio trying his best while everyone else is outside trying to encourage him
