Ugh 21, so damn young... just heartbreaking.

It's a tiny thing in the grand scheme of things, but this is an example of why I dislike all the whining or pseudo-intellectual cynicism that surrounds anything nice or charitable companies do, suggesting it is purely for PR reasons.

Whether it's for PR reasons or not, their motives are NOT what matter when things like this happen... what truly matters is that he got to play Smash pre-release with his friends when cancer, in its cruelty denying him of so much, would have otherwise also denied him that moment.

We should all turn off our cynicism in instances like these and just be happy for the moment the suffering and unfortunate got to have. Cancer is brutal for people of any age, but 21... that is just so soul-crushingly young.

I agree that there's too much BS and fighting in the gaming community, and it's nice that Chris had at least one of his gaming wishes came true before he passed.
I hope he rests in peace. I hope his family does okay and takes all the time they need.
Life is too short and already full of struggles. We need to remember that everyone in the world is struggling and having a difficult time with one thing or another.
It's important to help anyone in need out in any way you can; even if it's just 1 small act of good deed like getting food for a homeless person, holding the door open for someone, saying thank you, etc.
Every positive deed adds up.
Even though it's not likely to be read by Chris's family, I give my condolences to his family and again, I hope that Chris is in a better place now. Chris isn't suffering anymore and I'm sure he left this world in good hands.
