I can't feel face, tryin; to focus but my mind ain't right
I remember the party, the DJ, my homies, my man and me
But the rest of it's blurry,
Something I did made my baby go away
Got the same clothes on today
That I had on yesterday
Man I don't remember
Guess I had to much to drink
'Cause I don't remember
Aww, my car ain't outside
How the hell did I get home
Damn, did he drive me, drop me off
Got his stuff and get gone
Can't call my homies, 'cause I'm lookin'
And I just can't find my phone
I need to talk to somebody
Something I did made my baby go away
Got the same clothes on today
That I had on yesterday
What did I do, what I say
I don't remember
Guess I had to much to drink
'Cause I don't remember
Is he gone forever, man I don't know
I just don't remember
Oh oh uh
Wish I could playback, from beginning to the end
I think we started dancing, I kinda remember a kiss there
What a cute bartender
For the Remy, the Hiney, of Coke, and Gin
'Cause I'm not a drinker
Caught in the moment, my baby got away
Got the same clothes on today
That I had on yesterday
What did I do, what I say
I don't remember
Guess I had to much to drink
'Cause I don't remember
Is he gone forever, man I don't know
I just don't remember
Ooh baby, so intoxicated, had enough
Oh, conversations, to much drinking
Having fun
What was I thinking
Just celebrating, Oh
Please forgive me
Baby I just don't remember
In Ciara's song "I Don't Remember," she sings about waking up the next morning after a night of drinking and realizing that she doesn't remember much about what happened. She tries to piece together the events of the previous night, but everything is a blur. She remembers being at a party with her friends and her man, but then her memory becomes hazy. She wonders if something she did or said made her baby go away, and she is left with a feeling of regret and confusion.
The lyrics capture the disorientation and anxiety that can come with waking up after a night of heavy drinking. The repetition of the phrase "I don't remember" underscores the fact that the singer is struggling to make sense of what happened. The use of specific details, like the missing phone and car, creates a sense of urgency and gives the listener a vivid picture of the singer's predicament. Overall, the song is a cautionary tale about the dangers of drinking too much and the potential consequences of losing control.
