Love is far and near
Love is everywhere
Can you hear it feel it see it taste it
Love is in the air
Love is far and near
Love is everywhere
Listen and you will hear
Oh don't be despair
Have a little faith
Just a little bit more
Look and you will see
What's happening to you and me
With love we've got a date
And I don't wanna be late
So long I've been waiting
Waiting for that moment
When love comes pouring like raindrops
This must be that moment
Why I'm feeling this way
Feeling this way
Feeling this way
This special way I can't explain
The song 'Love Is In The Air' by Clinton Fearon is an ode to the feelings of love and the many different ways it can be experienced. The song begins declaring that love is all around us, both close and far away, and that it can be sensed through all our senses. The repetition of the opening line reinforces the idea that the feeling of love is pervasive and all-encompassing, it can be found in every corner of the world, and all we have to do is open ourselves up to it.
The chorus is an invitation and an assurance that we can find love if we want it. It's a very simple message but an important one, as it suggests that love is accessible if we are open to it. The song then encourages us to have faith and trust that love will come and be patient in our search for it. The lyric "Look and you will see what's happening to you and me" suggests that love is already present and just needs to be recognized.
The second verse continues the theme of patience and the moments we share with our loved ones. Fearon sings that he doesn't want to miss these moments, he's been waiting for them for a long time. The lines "When love comes pouring like raindrops, this must be that moment" indicate a sense of joy and release when love is finally found. The song ends with Fearon unable to explain the feelings of love he is experiencing but declaring that they are special and worth waiting for.
