No Buttercup.
She definitely does, not maybe,
What she wanna do.
She knows I?m gonna do what she asks,
No ?I don?t wanna do?-s,
If someone can make us all get down,
Chorus:
Get down, it?s all she wants, oh-oh-oh,
Get down, all she wants, oh-oh-oh.
Get down, it?s all she wants, oh-oh-oh,
Get down, all she wants, oh-oh-oh.
(And it feels alright to get down).
Get down, get down, get down?
She can pep you like no MC,
Nor any pro.
If she dances in an empty marquee,
Soon it will be full.
She knows I?m gonna do what she asks,
No ?I don?t wanna do?-s,
If someone can make us all get down,
It?s her, so we do.
The song "Samantha Funk" by Compact Disco is an upbeat dance track that is all about a woman named Samantha who has an infectious energy that gets everyone around her moving and dancing. The lyrics describe Samantha as someone who is confident, determined, and unafraid to take charge. She moves like she's "no crybaby" and "definitely does" what she wants to do. The singer of the song is clearly under Samantha's spell, as he admits that he will do anything she asks him to do without hesitation. When Samantha wants to make everyone get down and dance, all she has to do is start moving and everyone around her follows suit.
The chorus of the song is simple, but catchy – "Get down, it's all she wants, oh-oh-oh, Get down, all she wants, oh-oh-oh." This repetition of the phrase "get down" reinforces the idea that Samantha is a force to be reckoned with, and that her energy and enthusiasm are infectious. The lyrics also highlight Samantha's ability to draw a crowd – even if she starts dancing in an empty marquee, soon it will be full.
