One of their songs from their debut album The Concretes, "Say Something New", has been featured on a number of television advertisements in the United States for Target. "You Can't Hurry Love", also from their debut album, has been heavily used in major motion pictures and other films. Their second album, In Colour, was released in 2006. It was followed shortly after by the departure of lead singer Victoria Bergsman, who has since moved on to her solo project, Taken By Trees.[1] Lisa Milberg now provides lead vocals for the band, both on stage and on the band's third album Hey Trouble, released early 2007.
In 2007, The Concretes recorded a cover version of Take That's "Back for Good" for Engine Room Recordings' compilation album Guilt by Association, released September 2007.
Maria Eriksson is also half of the band Heikki, with guitarist Jari Haapalainen. They released their self-titled debut, a mini-CD, in Scandinavia in 2002. The follow-up, Heikki 2, appeared in 2004.
The Concretes have recently announced that they are in the process of recording their fourth album, WYWH set to be released in October 2010. The first single released was Good Evening.
Lisa Milberg also makes music on her own, under the name Milberg. Her first solo album was released in 2009.

Did you hear me say now.
Love ain't far, well I done mine, done mine, done mine
Oh you can't hurry love.
The Concretes' song "You Can't Hurry Love" is a cover of the famous Motown hit by The Supremes. This classic song talks about the universal truth that love cannot be rushed or hurried. The lyrics in the first verse, "Boy did you hear me say, Did you hear me say now. Love ain't far, well I done mine, done mine, done mine," convey the message that the singer has already experienced love and knows that it's not something that can be forced or rushed.
The chorus of the song emphasizes this message as it repeats the line "Oh you can't hurry love." The singer advises the listener to take it slow and not to rush into love, as it will come when the time is right. The song is ultimately a reminder that love cannot be controlled or manipulated; it's a natural process that takes time to develop.
