I really loved this animation. It brought back a ton of the memories to the best moments of the classic Tomb Raiders, and even brought new life into them. Used to watch my dad play through 1 and 2 as a kid... still remember those Teeth Doors (The traps you'd see in places like the Palace Midas garden secret and Tomb of Tihocan). He used to do all the puzzle stuff and I used to do all the acrobatic fighting for him... those teeth doors, though, frightened me as a kid. I know how to deal with them effortlessly now, though. ^^

Bit sad Angel of Darkness (6th and final Core Design Tomb Raider), or a "Classic-fied" version / rendition didn't make it, but I still love this animation regardless. Moments such as the Louvre Galleries, Kurtis, Strahov Fortress, or Tomb of Ancients (or those Element trials / Brother Obscura Ghost) could be ideas. I know it was hated, but it was most likely unfinished and buggy because Eidos rushed and pressured poor Core Design into releasing it as-is. I've only really played the PS2 version years ago, but there are fixes and patches (and BIG improvements) for the PC version, that take away a lot of the pain, and make the game interesting for me again. (I played up to Louvre Galleries / The Hall of Elements, and have to say, they did a REALLY good job. Lara is 100x more responsive with her running and jumping. :O) ^^;

Also sort of wished another of my Childhood fears made an appearance, too - those Jade Xian Statues from TR2, the ones which would often come to life, and you had that very eerie, unnerving Floating Islands / The Dragon's Lair ambience in the background (which was actually re-used in TR3, but edited slightly... think it was used in Antarctica's later levels). Tony (TR3, first boss) would've been fun to see, too. xD

But yeah, this animation's quality is overwhelming. :O I think if Core Design was here to see this, they'd absolutely love it and would feel heart-warmed over the dedication their fans still have to this day. I am a big Tomb Raider fan, having played the Core Timeline, LAU games, and only Tomb Raider 2013 and Rise of the Tomb Raider (out of the "Survivor Timeline").

I feel the Survivor Tomb Raiders were... ok, but I wouldn't call them Tomb Raider. This animation just shows what defined Tomb Raider for me; the discovery and beauty of exploring, finding hidden beauties in deep, dark locations... finding powerful artifacts that could be potentially world-ending if abused or if in the wrong hands, but also seeing what these artifacts are capable of and what lies in these mysterious locations: The T-Rex and raptors in TR1 and TR3 is a good example. The Dagger turning Marco Bartolli into a Huge Dragon! Using your mind against puzzles, and navigating simple, to just outright tricky traps - THAT is Tomb Raider for me. <3

I would love to see more Tomb Raider animations in this style. Keep going, dude. You're amazing! :D

@GuilhermeJTM

Lara Croft is cunning, sassy, smart, brave, athletic, charismatic, pretty and much, much more. In this video you showed me a very AWESOME, short and emotional compilation of moments in Tomb Raider that where so greatly animated and crafted that I feel like Lara Croft was also very well portraid here. So I sincerely must say that I loved the video and that I thank you for making it.

@InkRibbon

omg THIS IS AMAZING

@TheScure

Somehow the classics feel iconic and you made all these scenes feel even more iconic. There are a bunch of levels, enemies, movements that would be nice to see in another video, one day. I hope you will do it. :D

@vasaneff2253

@ShMartinJo

The one thing I’m impressed about Core’s work is their ability to hand animate the motion for Lara. And they do it so well it’s convincingly believable. You continued that trend here in this amazing tribute to the classics.
