They dominated in the 2006 egular season, but last I checked, they lost to the Cardinals (They were up "one win away" from a WS, but they couldn't close the deal, sounds like the Mets every year nowadays) K-Rod and Putz will most likely be the greatest 1-2 punch in the NL IF Putz stays healthy and the starting pitching has been improved. If they don't win the NL East this year, Minaya needs to be fired.

Worst thing the mets have ever done was searching for relief in their own enemies. An for-ever-and-ever brave like Tom Glavine starting the last game of the season with the playoffs in the line. Having a former Yankee managing the team for so many seasons (a three series would have been three games more than enough) , men that SUX!!! Hope this is over and at last we could find an ideal team for these Mets. LETS GO METS!

History lesson: Mets lost by 3 games in '08, not 2. They still play 162 games kid. And wow, an often hurt reliever with the appropriate name of Putz, plus another me-first closer who has choked in every big game for 6 years. Shaking in my shoes here.... Compare them to a duo who improved as the season progressed (Lidge sucked early in non-save spots, and Madson never hits 95+ mph) and it's no contest. Why else would Team Selig suspend Romero on a B.S. charge? He knows who's BP is dominant.

@CF40 A video that was made 3 years ago when the Mets actually played good baseball for more than 2 days a week. Look, I understand your pain. You're upset because the Mets are irrelevent in baseball, and employ players who beat up old men, have hilariously bad manners at a golf course, and who don't care about our injured troops enough to even visit them with the team. But trust me. No one here is "hating" on the Mets. You have to actually care about them first. Like you do with us. Hater. :)

WOW. The phillies season lasted 3 games long than the Mets. At least when we won the NL East we made it to game 7 of the NLCS!!

The Mets Made the World Series in 2015 Reyes wasn't in their clubhouse when the Mets had the greatest collapses in history Reyes was in their clubhouse the Jays in the 2 years with Reyes under 500 the 2 years after they went to ALCS Mets are 40 under 500 since Reyes returned.

The Mets are a fucking joke as long as they keep Minaya as their GM. It's obvious he's always going to try and deal for Latin players, but in doing so overlooks better players of other racial groups simply to promote his agenda. Sure, there have been great acquisitions such as Beltran, Delgado, and Santana, but unfortunately, there have been just as many busts and the majority of them have come in the last two years. I predict sub-.500 records in the next two years.

Worst move in mets history bringing back Reyes he was the reason for the 2007 and 2008 collapses the blue jays got rid of him and went to the alcs 2 years in a row . He makes guys lose focus and urgency without them realizing it mets are 39 games under 500 since Reyes returned

Mets fans needed a season like 07 to shrink their inflated egos. Serves them right. They will always be second fiddle to the Yankees. Now they spend over $20 million a year on 1 starting pitcher and suddenly they think they're a lock for the World Series. I guess they need another lesson in humility and the only way it'll happen is to suffer another humiliation.
