Dísa’s debut album was released during the summer of 2008, receiving top reviews from every newspaper and music magazine in Iceland and two of her singles hitting the top of the charts. The album was developed over the last two years with a number of different collaborators such as Cameron McVie, Mark Ronson and Shelly Poole. The final result, however, is very much her own distinctive writing end performing style, produced by Icelanders such as Ragnhildur Gísladóttir, Barði Jóhannsson and Anglo-American Sam Frank.

What's the last we're not around
The song "Cure" by DíSA is about healing a damaged relationship. The opening lines, "Tell me, can you see it? The flashing like a light at the beat of my heart?" refer to the internal struggle the artist is facing as she contemplates whether or not her relationship can be fixed. She acknowledges that things were not always this way and the scars that have accumulated over time. Yet, despite the damage, she believes that the relationship can be healed and she can once again feel like she's at home in her partner's arms. The "hold on!" refrain indicates her determination to hold on to the relationship and work towards mending it.
In the second verse, she reflects on her current state of mind while lying in bed, staring at the ceiling. She is wrapped up in sheets of gold, perhaps signifying the value she places on the relationship. She listens to her partner's breathing and whispers in his ear when he is asleep, hoping to slip under his skin and reignite the connection they once had. The repetition of "hold me!" and "let meeee" emphasize her desire for physical and emotional affection. The final lines of the song, "Walking on our solid ground, what's the last we're not around" seem to suggest that the couple has found some stability and that they need to keep working towards building a strong foundation together.
