1. Progressive r… Read Full Bio ↴There are at least two bands using the name D.F.A.:
1. Progressive rock band from Verona, Italy, with some psychedelic moods among their orchestrated and improvised music. The music is mostly instrumental, but some vocals in Italian are present too. Their musical scope ranges from Jazz Rock with symphonic and avant-prog tinges to Gentle Giant-like fusion.
The group released in '95 a demo called Trips on The Metro and the following year their debut album Lavori In Corso, which used all of the tracks reworked of their demo plus a 17-minutes epic.
"Duty Free Area" (1999) probably ranks among the very finest Italian releases of the 90s. It ended up on most prog site or publications' top list of that year. This opened the door to a lot of festival around the western world, culminating with a Nearfest appearance in 2001, which was to be released on their new label Moonjune in '02 under the name Work In Progress.
In the following years some other few concerts, some new composition are written, but nothing of that period will ever be recorded. It is only in summer 2004 that the first notes of Mosoq Runa appear. The following years are entirely dedicated to the composition of the new album, which was recorded in March 08 and released a bit latter. A few festival appearances ensued. 2. Canada's D.F.A. came screaming out of the north with their ripping debut LP last year and we knew right away we had to release their next record. This is a full-on sonic assault of devestating cross-over thrash like you've come to expect from Six Weeks!!! Thrash metal guitars at full throttle acceleration and tough vocals hell bent on blood, combine for a avalanche of bone-crushing remorseless hardcore. Fans of HOLIER THAN THOU? and MUNICIPAL WASTE will be instant converts to D.F.A's battering ram attack. Amazing artwork by Mike Bukowski for an added boot to the head.

Got better at bad advice
We'll talk on the phone at night
No I never shut my eyes
You call me whenever you feel
Oh I'm good morning and I'm goodnight
See you in songs that I try to write
You'll be the sun in my eyes if you like
But you say it's so funny
You tell me you love me
But say it's so funny
I know all you want is a lightning rod for when you don't know how to breath
But the best way to ruin your favorite song is to play it on repeat
I know all you want is a comfort fog for when you don't know how to sleep
The best way to ruin your favorite song is to play it on repeat
I can't be whatever you need
No matter how hard I try
But if you put your life up on a line it's fine
Just hope that I can reply in time
You tell me you love me
But you say it's so funny
You tell me you love me
But you say it's so funny
You say so much
You know you start to say nothing
But tell me you love me
And say it's so funny
I know all you want is a lightning rod for when you don't know how to breath
But the best way to ruin your favorite song is to play it on repeat
I know all you want is a comfort fog for when you don't know how to sleep
The best way to ruin your favorite song is to play it on repeat
The best way to ruin your favorite song is to play it on repeat
The song "Your Song" by D.F.A. is a beautiful piece about the confusion and heartache caused by uncertain emotions. The lyrics talk about the worry and wonder one experiences when they kiss someone they care about, but feel that their heart may not be present in that moment. The singer questions the authenticity of the moment and wonders if their partner is simply going through the motions.
The lyrics go on to describe the heartache of realizing that their partner may never truly melt and feel the emotions that the singer feels. The singer wonders if, during these moments, their partner is pretending they are someone else. It is a painful realization, and the singer pleads with their partner to break the spell and tell them where their heart truly lies.
