Some Tips & Tricks for GT:
You can knock & stun barrels with pots. Just smack one in their target and it will get knocked in the direction you smacked it in. Useful for killing barrels in Act 4. (or in any other act because pots stun enemies)
It is recommended to use a sword against barrels because of how glitchy they tend to be. You don't want to fail your solo run because a barrel glitched out. Though if you can safespot a barrel with a bow, then it's fine.
You can't friendly fire on junior accounts, so if you're practicing double shotting and tend to friendly fire your teammates while practicing, hop on a junior account.

A somewhat safe spot in Act 8 is actually the spawn. It's pretty open and you can easily shoot every enemy that comes to visit you. I always camped there when I was a beginner at soloing and always had great success.
Imps fireballs won't kill you if they die before the fireball hits you.
Be confident. If you're constantly doubting yourself then you're probably not gonna succeed. Confidence will help a lot.
Always learn from your mistakes. This one helped me the most. Every time you die, ask yourself how that could've been prevented, and what you did wrong.
btw, 20:20 barrels can't kill you when you're on top of bookshelves.

DISTANCE IS GOOD. It’s great for runners of course, and gives you more time to dodge the flyers projectiles.
Know the trigger lines. It is quite difficult to do multiple waves at once.
Corners are useful against flyers.
Know the hiding places, such as the tower in act 8
Jump up on a platform to avoid runners
Prioritize flyers. Long range is good, even though it’s harder to aim. You have more recognition time for them, and red flyers projectiles fan out more.
You need to know the boss route. There is really no way around it.
If a barrel (Red or green) spawns next to you kill it early.
Try and kill barrels in open areas
Know the strategy for fighting barrels. Green: Wait until their animation then sidestep. Hit them once they stop charging. Repeat. Red: Trigger them, wait for them to start spinning, shoot.
Know health numbers: Greens: 2hp runners and flyers, 4hp barrel knight. Reds: 3hp runners and flyers, 5hp barrel knights.

For the red barrels, when you see them do their spinning animation DO NOT HIT THEM, let them spin. Same with the green barrels let them dive at a place.
