Far better writing and effects than most B movies. Admittedly a bit hard to follow, but not shallow pap or blunt morality. The varied accents and languages give a certain veritas for a futuristic, post-apocalytic setting.

Apparently the movie was originally named EZO1 Madness or something, not the Last Starship, so we shouldn't blame the makers for the lack of any star ship action.

Anyhoo, strange little film. Not bad really, for an artsy low budget indie film. Very hard to understand the dialogue. I only understood maybe half of what was said but I don't think I missed anything deep & meaningful.

The ending was pretty darn pointless. Is there a book that explains things better?

awesome. great low budget sci-fi with a good mix of action, mystery, factions and intrigue. the mix up of accents helps sell the post apocalyptic setting, the mutants and robots do to. the Japanese and warhammer 40k influences are all over the place. as a sci-fi aficionado i 100% endorse this super cheese fest.

This was a long movie. Without a massive budget I think they did pretty damn good. It's hard to judge a SYFI movie. There all different. The sound of the shells casings hitting the floor was a testament to their attempt to give us all they had. I would recommend the watch.

Great set design and construction. Even the props I recognized blended in and the weapons appeared to be original. Acting was decent and not painful to watch. the story seemed edited and compressed to fit the movie run time, it would be nice to see a follow up keeping the same style of special effects.

By far one of the most original movies I've seen in a long time. It's so refreshing to see something outside of US sanction. Great movie!
Like some other comments, it's really hard to put a finger on who the villain is, and that's what makes this movie that much more compelling. Just like in the real world, there is no such thing as "bad guy" or "good guy".

Almost two hours of viewing and my understanding of the characters and plot remains roughly what is shown in the video description. I have no idea who anyone was in relation to anyone else, except the synthetic navigator. I never identified any groups or teams or factions, what motivated anyone; nothing. I don't know who was fighting whom for what reason or who won, if anyone.
I think I would understand after one or two more viewings but I sure could use a hint. Names and descriptions of the main groups ought to be enough. I can use that to train my ear to the various accents, maybe catch a name here or there, understand some plot points.

I agree except the acting is so bad that I will never care who won or why. A decent director could patch this up with post-editing and some continuity shots but the acting can never be fixed unless they turn it into a cheesy comedy.

Gotta love the dollar store book lights clamped to their helmets. (I think I still have one of those.) And the headlamps attached to their shoulders. And the monsters look like something on a Megadeth album cover. (That's good!) It's the third B movie I've watched while on COVID-19 Safer at Home orders in Long Beach, CA, so with the bar so low, it is the best one.

Silly but fun. I especially like the casting of Europeans with all the different dialects and acting styles. Nice mix of different sources. Bar coding of clones. A little bit of Das Boot in the tank interior. Good gender mix changes the emotional feel of it as well. Mix of Bushido, Japanese "Mech" tech. I especially love the Russians. And Blade Runner clones.

In short, an awesome film that successfully combines several genres and mythologies and, despite its limited budget, ends up being a rare diamond in the rough. From yokai to killer robots to OGRE-like massive tanks and more, this movie has it all. I rate it an A. Great flick!

I would have liked to see the backstory and story line fleshed out a little more. For most part no complaints other than the ending left things hanging. Hopefully a sequel is in the works.

5/10. Dark scenes. Derivative theme: apocalyptic, zombie, viral threat, monster, military survival. Vintage special effects. The mixed languages and accents is a plus. Could have been done better if director/screen writer had basic technical training in film making/sci-fi writing. Lots of filler. Better than sci-fi soaps though.

Not impressed even for a "B" rated indie. In fairness the Actors did well, but the script was poorly drafted and I can not fault them for that. Take grossly over-sided weapons, armor that looks like it was made in a dumpster, then added in the lowest standard of special effects and it is not wonder this move does not rate. It is impossible to imagine any such society lasting more than a day. The roaming golems alone would wipe out everything not living in a protected city. If not them the religious zealots or the plague. This concept is all over the board and the writers should have known better. I would hate to be the investor that bought into this storyline.

Wow. For a movie titled 'The Last Starship,' one might be led to believe that there would be a spaceship or two. Nope. Not even a hint of outer space.
Instead we're in a war ravaged Earth following a future apocalyptic terrain. A gigantic, battle ravaged army tank inhabited by nearly the last of humanity the crew must battle mutant humans, a huge creature, and ancient robotic war machines.

I had recently left fasa to go to school in Texas, and they had received an advanced copy of the movie, so they would know what the Starships looked like in order to produce the licensed games. But since they didn't need anything but the visuals, the soundtrack was purposely left off on the copy they received, lol. So they had to wait along with everyone else, to know what the plot of the movie was all about.

A question for all the people shitting on this movie in the comments: what indie sci-fi do you like? What meets your standards? This one held itself together better than Mortal engines did. I would rather see people at least try to make their dream movie than watch the unoriginal, recycled, filtered, safe moneymakers coming out of Hollywood.

This movie is boring. Movies are made with real money & need to make money. Those moneymakers you're whining about allow studios to make lower budget movies that nobody wants to pay to watch. If you like Indie movies so much & whine like a spoiled child about moneymaking movies (did I mention it's a business & it's sole purpose is to make money?) why are you watching this for free instead of purchasing it? Me personally I don't have money to go or buy movies at the moment, but I do have a right as do you to say if a movie is good or not. THIS MOVIE IS NOT GOOD. I've heard better dialogue in better movies. There are many apocalyptic movies out there. This movie is only 3 years old & I've never heard of it. That says something in itself.

I can think of at least one thing wrong with this title. I want to see the behind the scenes though when the costume designer says "hold still while I attach some printed gorilla tape to your face". I will say this though, I was pleasantly surprised to see someone take aim and fire in the correct direction when someone yelled "they are moving in on our 9 o'clock position".

I liked it even though I didn't have any idea what it was about.i never figured out who the good guys were or even if there was any good guys..also I believe that there are monsters ,walking dead ,and robot things out to kill the people in the first tank.i haven't finished watching it so I don't know if the other tank is out to help or hurt the first tank.if some one figures it out please post it.
