i loooove the story being told in this song.

in the first verse the singer is frustrated with his lover but still faithful to them and cares about them. he even teases her saying that the distance his career causes “could be worse” and the bed spring noise suggests he means “at least i’m not sleeping around”.

in the second verse he’s grown even more distant from his lover to the point where they rarely talk and though it’s unclear if he’s actually been physically unfaithful, he is starting to pay attention to other women that want his attention. he remains unapologetic about his lifestyle, but now it feels less about his career pulling him around and more about the fame and glamour he revels in.

in the bridge he finally just goes “f*ck it” and although it isn’t stated explicitly, the bed springs from earlier come back in and remain for the rest of the song. the singer has become fully unfaithful to his lover and is a serial cheater. he is unapologetic.

Wow, so many people commenting about how many views this has now and how he's blown up like... yes I know. This post was made 5 years ago when it only had maybe 2 million views and the song had already been out since 2015 maybe (and I know views aren't everything okay, so please lay off lol). Back then, I was getting into K RnB and noticed he wasn't getting as much traction compared to other K-RnB artists back then (such as rappers within the same genre) yet he had so many collab work (both singing and writing). His sound is also more western so I also wondered why he wasn't getting noticed overseas. But ofc, that has changed, and he's had many concerts all over, and I'm glad I didn't miss out.
it's been so long since his last full studio album and it would be great to see him comeback with one, but hope he is doing what is the most comfortable for him is the most I can wish for him as a listener.
