Having more money can come with its own set of problems, but so does not having enough money.

I took a step back and reevaluated my situation, and addressed any loose ends in order to move forward.

I had to make a difficult decision, but I am confident that I made the correct choice.

I need to work even harder and be more persistent in order to succeed.

It is my responsibility to persuade a large group of people to purchase my music.

Tryna make a buck or something off of nickels and dimes
I am attempting to earn a living by making profits from small amounts of money (i.e. from fans purchasing individual songs rather than full albums).

I aim to make my music accessible to everyone, much like the brand 7 Jeans claims to do.

I've cashed in so many favors it's outrageous
I have called in several favors from others, to the point where it might be excessive.

Kids from the suburbs get mad when I say this
People from privileged backgrounds may react negatively when I express my desire for financial success.

Despite criticism or judgement, I aspire to have the same level of wealth as professional athletes.

Plus the entertainment value here is much greater
Not only do I want their level of wealth, but I believe that my entertainment value is worth as much or more.

The narrator to this hip hop lifestyle was broke as a child
I am the voice of my particular style of hip hop, and I come from a disadvantaged background.

Despite my current success, I am counting on my fans to continue to support me monetarily.

No doubt, to buy things I can't afford before
I am confident that I will be able to purchase things that were once out of my financial reach.

Under-privileged I feel the need to consume more
Coming from a disadvantaged background, I feel a stronger desire to acquire material goods.

Perhaps it appears that I am already wealthy, but in reality I still need to earn more money.

I currently have a nice place to live and a luxurious car.

I have put in the same amount of effort to create music that fans can enjoy.

Had to quit a few jobs just to head on tour
I have had to sacrifice job security in order to pursue touring opportunities.

I do this for the love, but need cash to endure
Although I create music out of passion, I still require financial stability to continue doing so.

Cuz props can't pay for my whole couture
Compliments and recognition cannot pay for my entire wardrobe or other expenses.

And I probably have no need for a Bentley is all
I likely do not actually need a car as expensive as a Bentley.

But I wish I had the power to afford the car
Despite not actually needing a Bentley, I aspire to be financially successful enough to afford one.
