There are three artists by the name of DMA.
1) DMA, a rap artist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, began recording his debut album in the fall of 2010. Noted for its short recording time, it was quickly hailed as a breakthrough in both lyrical composition and melodic production. Due to scheduling conflicts and record issues, DMA has postponed touring indefinitely.
2) DMA stands for David "Moose" Adamson, the brains behind Indianapolis band Jookabox. On February 9th, 2011, Jookabox called it quits while announcing David's next project, DMA. On May 17th, 2011, DMA released his first single, "Riding Holiday" and announced a plan to release 3 consecutive albums within 2011.
3) DMA stands for Direct Memory Access. Those beefy guitar riffs that penetrate your mind and there's nothing you can do about it, powered by the groove generated by drums and bass, and gently flavored with rich vocal melodies – these songs are here to stay, so all that's left for you to do is lay back and enjoy.
A cozy evening on March of 2003 gave birth to the chemistry which later was given the name of DMA. Influences like Tool, Incubus, A Perfect Circle, Slipknot and Mudvayne has resulted in the sound uniqueness that gets you from the first notes. Hungry for action, the band began to find its way to people’s minds. A year of constant shows all around Israel helped gaining a steady fan base, and gave the confidence to make the next step – go on tour. The self arranged 2006 tour in Canada was an eye opening experience that made the band better, stronger, more mature and even hungrier for action. And the action is on its way – currently the band is preparing to release its debut album recorded with producer Rolf Munkes in Empire Studios in Germany.

Lucid as the air that blows and light, that shines
Just a way to figure out her when the night is long
Take a little wander outside through the rain and snow
Just a way to figure out her
Don't delete my baby, don't defeat her still
In the quiet of nothing, to the hands of grace
Don't delete my baby, don't defeat her now
Gonna shine a diamond, like you never did
Gonna show you something, I can't be taught
Don't delete my baby, I find chrous now
You know that I belong to be, reflections of myself
Let it all out, just let it all out
To find, the feeling
Don't take it to the one, in mind
Always know it needs her to belong, to find
Know that when I do, watch it face the place
Take a little wander outside, through the rain and snow
Just a way to figure out her
Don't defeat my baby, don't delete her still
In the quiet of nothing, to the hands of grace
Don't delete my baby, don't defeat her now
Don't defeat my baby, won't you always find
Gonna shine a diamond, like you never did
Gonna show you something, I can't be taught
Don't delete my baby, I find chrous now
You know that I belong to be, reflections of myself
Let it all out, just let it all out
To find, feeling coming
So great, don't wait (Just let it all out)
Wait for me tonight, open the door
In this song, DMA's vocalist Tommy O'Dell is pleading with someone not to delete his lover ("my baby") from their life. He compares his lover's essence to the stars in the sky and the air that blows, things that are constant and always present. He urges the listener to take a moment to recognize and appreciate these things, to "figure out her" in the quiet of the night or through the rain and snow. He fears that his lover will be defeated or deleted, lost to the nothingness of oblivion. He promises to shine a diamond and show something that can't be taught, hoping to convince his lover to stay.
The lyrics paint a portrait of desperation and the fear of losing someone that is deeply loved. O'Dell's vocals and the instrumentation contribute to this atmosphere - the haunting melody and heavy percussion support the urgent pleas in the lyrics. The repetition of "don't defeat my baby, don't delete her now" emphasizes the importance of the message and the need to hold onto love and connection.

(To break, don't wait
Wait for me tonight, opening the door
Shift horizons in good time
You were there for me, waking in the night
Let it catch you in the fall
I know that you're right, ease with me tonight
Break the moment in the dawn
You were there for me, waking in the dark
Know I'll meet you in the fall
I could be the one, you could be divine
Know I'll feel you in good time
I know that you're right, ease with me tonight
Break the moment in the dawn
You were there for me, waiting in the dark
Not but the one I break, the feeling I take
Everything is starting to wake
You know you more, you're setting off the score)

@mikehill23
I performed this at an open-mic night at a small coffee shop, in Wayne, New Jersey last year.
The dude running it came up to me after, and asked what song it was - and who did it. He wanted to add it to his set-list.
Proves the point, that just cos you don't break thru into other countries - doesn't mean the song wasn't good enough. Thanks for this creation, fellas.
