They continued to tour, locally and nationally, for the next ten years. Highlights included some of the most prestigious folk venues and festivals on the East Coast, such as Falcon Ridge Folk Festival.
In 2002, interest in the band spiked as they began to get played on the syndicated "Bob and Tom" radio show. Their signature songs include "Enormous Penis", "Internet Porn", and "Title of the Song".
In addition to their albums, DVN also recorded a track called "The Ballad of The Sneak" for the Homestar Runner cartoon website. This song was credited to the entire group, though it was only written and performed by Paul and Storm.
Professional awards include two Wammies (Washington DC local music awards) for "Best A Cappella" group.
In 2004, the band disbanded. Two of the members, Paul and Storm, then hit the road as a musical duo dubbed Paul and Storm. DVN will still perform together on occasion for corporate shows.

Color me your car
Color me your color, darling
I know who you are
Come up off your color chart
I know where you're comin' from
Just call me (call me) my love
Just call me (call me) my love
Call me, call me any time at all
Just call me
Cover me with kisses, baby
Cover me with love
Roll me in designer sheets
I'll never get enough
Emotions come, I don't know why
Cover up love's alibi
Just call me (call me) oh right
Call me, call me any day or night
Just call me (call me) oh right
Call me, call me any day or night
Just call me
Ooo-oo-oo-oo-oo, he speaks the languages of love
Ooo-oo-oo-oo-oo, amore, chiamami, chiamami
Ooo-oo-oo-oo-oo, appelle-moi mon chéri, appelle-moi
Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, any way
Anytime, anyplace, anywhere, any day, anyway
Call me (call me) my love
Call me, call me anytime at all
Just call me (call me) my love
Call me, call me any time at all
Just call me (call me) oh right
Call me, call me any time at all
Just call me (call me) my love
Call me, call me any time at all
Just call me.
The lyrics to Da Vinci’s Notebook’s song "Call Me" is a playful and flirty invitation to a lover or potential lover to reach out to the persona at any time, in any way, anywhere. The initial lyrics ask the person to "color" the singer with their essence or identity. This could be interpreted as wanting to be completely immersed in the person they seek, to know them in all their nuances and personality. The persona, in turn, offers themself up to the person with no restrictions or limitations. The idea of calling the person anytime, any day, also signifies that the persona is willing to make themselves available and open to the potential partner.
Later in the song, the lyrics shift to the request for the person to cover the persona with affection and passion ("Cover me with kisses, baby/Cover me with love"). The phrase “roll me in designer sheets” could be seen as a request for the partner to provide a luxurious environment that meets their high standards. The lyrics emphasize the idea that the persona is completely enamored with the other person to the point where they don't even understand why they feel the way they do ("Emotions come, I don't know why/Cover up love's alibi"). The song ends with the catchy refrain of "Just call me," indicating that the persona is eagerly anticipating the call from the person of their desire.
Overall, the song conveys a lighthearted and playful approach to a potential relationship, with an emphasis on total immersion and availability. The lyrics capture the idea of someone deeply yearning for the company of the person they seek, offering themselves up to them fully and without reservation.
