"Very Last Breath" is a genre bending collaboration between Danielle and producer/djs Prince Fox and Choppa Dunks has electronic, trip hop and soul influences mixed with samples of Danielle’s voice giving it its signature sound. Her musical influences range from Nina Simone, Lauryn Hill and Erykah Badu to Bjork, Radiohead, and Portishead. Newer influences include artists like The Black Keys, Flume, Odesza, Glass Animals, James Blake, Little Dragon and SBTRKT. Danielle Parente collaborated with photographer/director Nicolas Padron and director/editor Matthew Francis to create the visual for this song which serves up some bold and in your face imagery capturing the dark and sultry vibe of the song.
“Dark Eyes” will be released in September of 2015 with Mytrell Records and InGrooves/Fontana under the Universal Music Group.
