Overall Meaning

The song "Making Christmas" is a lively and upbeat ode to the joy and excitement of preparing for the holiday season. The song opens with the Clown singing "This time, this time, making Christmas" before the rest of the group joins in. The Mayor sings "making Christmas is so fine" and the group chimes in with "it's ours this time" and "let's have a cheer from everyone, it's time to party".
