He currently works for the BBC 6 Music. He formerly presented the long-running Dance Anthems show on BBC Radio 1, which was for most of its time aired on early Sunday evenings before moving to late Friday nights in its final year. His last show on BBC Radio 1 was broadcast on Friday 26 September 2008. He has brought several sayings into the world of dance including "putting on your trance trousers" when he plays a trance record, "roll another fat one" meaning to play another great record. He is also known for his cry of "Oi Oi!" from the DJ booth. Pearce now broadcasts Dance Anthems on BBC 6 Music.
Pearce joined BBC Radio 1 in April 1995, taking over the weekday early-breakfast show from Bruno Brookes. He took over the weekend mid-morning slot in October the same year. February 1997 saw Pearce taking over weekend breakfast and on October 13 the same year, he went on to present the drivetime show from Kevin Greening, who had taken over Breakfast, alongside Zoe Ball. In addition to drivetime, Pearce took over the Dance Anthems show on Sunday evenings. In October 1998 Chris Moyles took over the drivetime show and Pearce began presenting a Monday - Thursday evening show from 6-8pm entitled The Late Drive. This show was axed in 2004.
Dave Celebrated 10 years of dance anthems in August 2007. The 5 hour special Dance Anthems show included input from Pete Tong, Judge Jules and a phone in from Tiesto.
His first show on 6 Music was broadcast on Sunday 5 October 2008 from 8pm to 10pm, playing dance music from the last 30 years. Noel Gallagher was the first celebrity guest to pick his favourite dance anthem, which was "Strings of Life" by Rhythim is Rhythim. Pearce has also presented occasional shows on BBC Radio 2.
In late 2008 Dave Pearce launched a weekly podcast - Trancecast - which focuses on his interest in trance. It features upfront tracks as well as a weekly guest mix.

Love U More
Dave Pearce Lyrics
You can make the sun turn purple
You can make the sea turn turtle
But you know you can never make me love you more
You can turn wine into water
Turn sadness into laughter
But you know you can never make me love you more
Let the sky fall down, let the leaves turn brown
Still you know you can never make me love you more
Let the redwoods die, let the wells run dry
Still you know you can never make me love you more
You can make dew into diamonds
Or pacify the lions
But you know you can never make me love you more
You can make me dance to order
My sex hung, torn, and quartered
But you know you can never make me love you more
Let the new day hide, leave the scars inside
Still you know you can never make me love you more
Let the rain poor down, let the valleys drown
Still you know you can never make me love you more
We can make the sun turn purple
We can make the sea turn turtle
But you know you can never make me love you more
We can turn wine into water
As fathers rape their daughters
But you know you can never make me love you more
Let the sky fall down, let the leaves turn brown
Still you know you can never make me love you more
Let the redwoods die, let the wells run dry
Still you know you can never make me, hey
You know you can never make me
Yeah you know you can never make me love you more
You can make the sea turn turtle
But you know you can never make me love you more
You can turn wine into water
Turn sadness into laughter
But you know you can never make me love you more
Let the sky fall down, let the leaves turn brown
Still you know you can never make me love you more
Let the redwoods die, let the wells run dry
You can make dew into diamonds
Or pacify the lions
But you know you can never make me love you more

@Ben Whitfield Yes, youtube-dl is written in Python so it runs where Python is available, including current versions of Windows, Mac OS X/XI AKA macOS, and GNU+Linux. You should be able to use the instructions on this page to install youtube-dl but maybe you do not know how to use the command-line interface if you did not understand my suggestion.
http://ytdl-org.github.io/youtube-dl/download.html
I have little experience with recent versions of Mac OS X/XI but I think it still includes Terminal.app even if this application is not installed by default. Are you able to run Terminal.app and get an interactive shell prompt?
Where do you live geographically? If you do not personally know someone who can help you with this stuff then maybe your area has a hackspace or other Real-World/meatspace place that can help you. If you happen to live in or near Metro Vancouver, Canada then I may be able to help you.
If you do not know what a command-line interface is then you can read an introduction to the subject on Wikipedia:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Command-line_interface
youtube-dl is a computer program, in this case an application, written in the Python programming language and using a command-line interface instead of a graphical user interface (GUI).
