I Know It's Gonna Happen Some
David Bowie Lyrics

Whatever you are, don't lose faith
I know it's gonna happen someday
To you
Please wait
Please wait
Wait, don't lose faith
You say that the day never arrives
But I know it's gonna happen someday
To you
Please wait
Please wait
Wait, don't lose faith
Please wait
Please wait
Please, don't lose faith
Don't lose faith
You say that the day never arrives
And it seems so far away
But I know it's gonna happen someday
Someday to you
To you
Please wait
In "I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday," David Bowie sings about someone whom he deeply cares about that is struggling with a lack of faith. The person, wherever they are and whatever they may be, is encouraged to hold on, to not lose hope, and to wait for their day of triumph. Bowie acknowledges that the person may feel that their long-awaited day will never arrive, but he states with certainty that it will come someday. He urges patience and unwavering faith, reiterating multiple times throughout the song that the person should not lose their belief in the eventual realization of their dreams. The song is both comforting and empathetic, acknowledging the difficulties faced by a person experiencing a prolonged waiting period, while also providing words of encouragement to help the person persist through their difficulties.
In interpreting the lyrics of "I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday," the song has often been viewed as a message of hope to those suffering from depression or a lack of direction in life. It could be seen as Bowie offering his hand to those in need and telling them to hold on a little longer. While the song can have a therapeutic effect on some, it also has a broader message for all. Bowie often sings about the human condition and the struggles that come with it, and in this song, he acknowledges that we all face moments of doubt and frustration. However, in those moments, there is always the promise of better times ahead. Thus, the lyrics of "I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday" reach beyond the individual and can be seen as a reminder to society as a whole to remain optimistic in the face of adversity.

My brother died this morning (3-11-2019). He died the same way as Bowie and Ronson. I saw him for the last time on Saturday (3-9). With me was my old friend, Jonathan. He worked for Prince during his 'Purple Rain' days. "The beautiful ones you always seem to lose."

OMG, Melissa, like Bowie and Ronson, he's dying of liver cancer now. Would you like to hear a song he wrote? This is from 1970. He had just finished a short tour with Jimi Hendrix at the time when he wrote this song: From Buddy Miles' "Them Changes" album, and the song is-"I Still Love You, Anyway."

Correction, Melissa: The song that Bowie was working on, from the 'Black Tie, White Noise' album, when my brother was introduced to him was 'Pallas Athena', not this one (honest mistake; sorry about that). I also had a couple of very close friends who worked for Bowie back during the 80s (they were 'roadies'). 'Pallas Athena' only contains one line: "G-d's on top of it all." Also, at the time my brother met him, David had just gotten a new tattoo (which he showed to my brother). It was on his left ankle; a cattle's skull, and written around it in Japanese was the 'serenity prayer': "G-d grant me the grace to accept with serenity that which I cannot change; the courage to change what should be changed, and the wisdom to know the difference." Yes, Melissa: G-D!

Mr Bowie is the reason life is wonderful!😙

It's more then that, luck: There's something supernatural about it. Five years after meeting Bowie, and hearing his version of this song, my brother found himself on stage at the second Clinton inaguaral, singing the blues.
