"Davidβs straightforward songs tell honest stories of real people and real places. Poetic perception and a keen eye for the heart of the matter are trademarks of the man and his music. His songs and stories are a direct connection for audiences seeking depth and meaning in the day-to-day." Shelter Valley Folk Festival
"I discovered this guy on the Red House label and really liked his style. He reminds a bit of Richard Thompson, but has a great soul in his voice. He has some great lines as well..."I keep watch with a weather eye". Take a listen, it wont disappoint."
Come Rain Or Come Shine
David Francey Lyrics

But I'll see some bright lights, when I get home to you
Framed in your doorway with your arms open wide
I'll hold you in my arms, enfold you inside
And I want to tell you
Come rain or come shine
That I'll always be your love
Sometimes I wonder what you see in me
Is it someone you're wishing or hoping I'll be?
Sometimes I wonder, I can't help myself
Will your love go someplace, with somebody else?
And I want to tell you
Come rain or come shine
That I'll always be your love
If you'll always be mine
Sometimes you wonder what I see in you
Just picture the sun on an ocean of blue
Just picture that ocean so deep and so wide
Feel the sun on the water, feel the pull of the tide
And I want to tell you
Come rain or come shine
That I'll always be your love
If you'll always be mine
In this song, David Francey speaks about a long, tiring journey through a dark night, with nothing but headlights to guide him. However, he finds solace in the thought of returning home to his loved one, who he imagines standing in the doorway with open arms, ready to embrace him. He assures the person that he will always love them, regardless of any hardships they may face together, and asks for the same in return. Francey expresses his feelings of insecurity in the relationship, wondering if the person will find someone else or if he will fail to live up to their expectations. However, he believes that their love is like an endless ocean with the warm sun shining on it, a boundless force that will always guide them through any obstacles they may face.
The song is a deeply personal exploration of love and its complexities. Francey acknowledges the doubts and fears that can come with a committed relationship, but ultimately concludes that the strength of their bond will always carry them through. The metaphor of the ocean serves as a powerful symbol of the endless depth and capacity of their love.

Being a 43-yr old ethanol plant worker who really dreams and breathes music all day long, I am quite inspired by your story. I'll be performing this tune at a wedding in May. It's a good, simple, solid song. I love it and the people I play it for in the future will love it, too. Thank you, David Francey.

We met David Francy, Dave Gunner, and Meaghan Blanchard this spring at the Charlettown yacht club on Prince Edwards Island. We visited from Maine. First annual setting day lobster feed. Felt right to home : Only a friendly and civil Society could produce such fine singer song writers.

I enjoyed meeting David Francey at the Mission Folk Music Festival (B.C., Canada) with my very Irish ma. They were having a conversation and with her unmistakable Irish accent, she points out the obvious: "And I'm Irish!" and he replies sarcastically: "No shit!" !!!! Hilarious!!
