He has worked with other acclaimed directors such as David Gordon Green, Jared Hess, Craig Zobel, and Todd Rohal.

Wingo has also been active with his band Ola Podrida for several years. Their most recent album, GHOSTS GO BLIND was released in April 2013.

2014 will be the busiest year of Wingo’s career yet with several films he scored coming out, beginning with the World Premiere of Margaret Brown’s doc THE GREAT INVISIBLE and the US Premiere of David Gordon Green’s JOE (which Wingo collaborated on with Jeff McIlwain) at the SXSW Film Festival on March 9. This police officer’s violent behaviour towards an innocent car driver, was so grievous and extreme, that he needs to be fired and then criminally prosecuted. Compensation and legal damages is fine as it goes, but there is still the matter of having a violent thug in a police uniform, still employed by the Arkansas police authority. He poses a serious danger to any citizen he stops.

I would also have filed a personal lawsuit on him for financial restitution etc etc etc.. I'm a veteran and I stand up for the police officers in this country and I would be the first to help one in need, however this a blatant violation, and that officer "if you want to call him that" should be punished not only by his job, but personally in a financial way.

I decided against taking the job because of the violence in DC , low pay, and cost of living. Since that time pay and pensions especially on East and West Coast for police have increased immensely

Unfortunately this goes on every day. I'm a criminal defense attorney, for 25 years now, and I catch police committing perjury on the stand regularly. Hundreds of times over the decades actually, and never, not once, has a police officer been disciplined, suspended, fired, or criminally charged for their actions. Police are always "above the law" and only get into trouble when they lie to the Feds; as a general rule. To file a civil rights action, it's under 18 USC 1983, which costs a ton of money to proceed on, and will always be appealed if it goes against the cops. It will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars in fees and expenses; my last one took seven years to wrap up, and close to $235K in expenses to get a disposition. It is all because of "qualified Immunity." This will never stop until we get rid of this pernicious legal concept. I have someone who donated $50K a year to various local law enforcement agencies for over twenty years, and was a hero to local law enforcement, until he was pulled over by a cop who didn't know him, and then beat him within an inch of his life over a parking space. And the parking space was at the oncologist's hospital office, as my 78 year old client was going to a chemo appointment. The only thing that saved my guy was an independent jury, who reviewed the facts. He is a VERY wealthy man, but after our criminal trial for assaulting an officer, he just didn't have the strength to go to federal court; even though he could have easily afforded the fees. Anytime anyone is engaged with a law enforcement officer, you must start recording on your cell phone! The dash cam (MVARS) suddenly go missing, Body worn cameras are suddenly forgotten to be turned on, or the CD Drive was broken, or the cleaning crew accidentally erased the tape, etc. Free legal advice, ALWAYS put your phone on in the car, don't tell anyone that you are recording them (otherwise they will break your phone, or seize it in my experience), and hand it over to your attorney. (BTW: as egregious as this behavior is in this video, I would never take on this civil rights case because there is no real injury. Unless that couple has an extra 100K laying around, it would never get to trial). Hopefully that cop's behavior can be played for any jury on any case that he has in the future to attack his credibility on the stand. In a just world, he'd be fired, and charged with filing false police reports and then be charged criminally. But instead, he probably got a promotion!
