I enjoy the music for these movies but that clip when she sees him through that iron fence is fantastic and actually nostalgic in a weird way even the scream the girl let’s put brings it back to the original movie best music in any movie I’ve seen you just can’t beat carpenter I also love they had the original micheal (nick castle) in some shots that’s truly giving the fans what they want I’m just not sure they can top this one

Your joke about jaimes character being deaf after shooting a double barrel off by her head rings true. One pretty famous example, the scene in die hard where Bruce shoots the robber through the table they actually used blanks. It also gave willis permanent deafness in one ear, there's a decent amount of roles he did after where you can see him try to tilt his head to hear

2 things I thought about while watching this new timeline (including Halloween Kills) Laurie was never a target. She became a target when she went looking for her friend & stumbled upon Michaels carnage. He never initiated the chase. She just happened to put herself in his way. & I think that’s why he never came looking for her in this movie. The doctor brought Michael to her. & in the next movie they made it a point to say that in one of the hospital scenes. I rewatched the original & found that very interesting because people make it seem like he sought her out to begin with when that isn’t the case.

2. Marion wasn’t even from Hadonfield (that I remember). Hadonfield was 100-150 miles away from where Michael was locked up. So I didn’t understand what she was even doing in Hadonfield with the rest of the survivors from Hadonfield. That just never made sense to me. Yes, she was the first person he attacked as an adult (in the movie) but he never went at her with a knife or even made a valid attempt to kill her...

I still think it’s dumb and confusing that this movie is just called Halloween. I would given it a more appropriate name like Halloween Returns. It makes more sense to me as it represents the long hiatus the franchise has been on since Rob Zombie’s films. The new trilogy should be named:
Halloween Returns
Halloween Kills

Mchael's whole shtick is killing people for the sake of killing them. I honestly didn't like the fact that they had Laurie and Michael being siblings, or the fact that the Rob Zombie film had him growing up in a horrible household, being the reason for him wanting to kill. The mysterious motives behind the killings makes it more terrifying and disturbing, especially when you know that he just keeps coming back.

I have a theory about this movie. I think the whole idea of Michael "Speaking" is related to his killing. Michael doesn't speak with his voice he '"speaks" with violence. The movie is started because the podcasters demand he speak, and so he does. Dr Sartaine demands he say something so Michael does.

my fave part is when Karen was crying saying she couldn't kill Micheal and when he showed himself she had a personality switch and shot him, and when mom said 'happy halloween Micheal.' and attacked him was amazing

I liked watching this bc it was filmed in my home town of Charleston, South Carolina. I recognized a lot of the settings. The first scene is filmed in the Citadel, where my grandpa went to college. I know some of the streets. My mom briefly met Jamie Lee Curtis

A theater near me was playing some older classics for awhile during the Covid dry spell for movies. October of 2020 they were playing horror movies and the website claimed to be showing the original 79 Halloween which I had an interest in seeing. They screwed up and showed this one instead. Gonna be honest, I walked out of the theater. To me it was nothing but uninspired gore and the exact same jumpscare over and over.

I also saw The Thing and Nightmare on Elm Street for the first time at that theater and they were infinitely better.
