Formed in 1986, vocalist Julian Raymond (formerly of the band Bang Bang ) claimed the band was named after a disturbing painting he had seen by former child star Leif Garrett.
Signed to Atlantic Records, their self-titled debut album was produced by Mick Jones from Foreigner but was recalled soon after its release in 1988 when it was discovered the White House had a copyright on their name.
The band changed their name to Flesh & Blood and the album was re-released as Dead White & Blue in slightly edited form. But by this time interest in the band had dwindled and they broke up in 1989. Raymond gave up singing but remained in the music business, going on to become a successful A&R man with Hollywood Records and later a record producer.
Where Is The Love?
Dear Mr. President Lyrics

Seeds that I sow with my hands
Let our love grow
Let our love grow
In my Garden
Across the fields I pray
Let our love grow
Let our love grow
And gardens need time
Sometimes there is next year
Sometimes loves die
My love is a garden
Till it with care
Protect it from wither
When winter is near
Seeds I sow with my hands
Let our love grow
Let our love grow
My love is a garden
And gardens need time
Sometimes there is next year
Sometimes loves die
My love is a garden
Till it with care
Protect it from wither
When winter is near
My love is garden
My love
My love
The lyrics of "In My Garden" by Eurythmics can be seen as a metaphor for the growth and nurturing of a relationship. The singer sees their love as a garden, something that needs constant care and attention, just like a plant that needs watering and nurturing to flourish. The seeds represent the efforts and the time they put into building and growing their love.
The singer expresses the need for patience and understanding as they acknowledge that sometimes, relationships take time to grow and develop. They also emphasize the fragility of love by drawing attention to how it can die if not nurtured properly. Winter is used to represent times of trouble in the relationship, and the singer implores their partner to protect the love from withering during such periods.
The song's lyrics can be interpreted as a plea for commitment, care, and dedication in a relationship. It encourages individuals to invest their time and effort into building something that can stand the test of time. It also highlights the importance of being patient, persevering, and willing to make sacrifices for the sake of love.
