Fear
Death. Troy For Nation Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I don't know dude, I just
I just drink blood dude

The fear (jump, jump, jump)
I'm gonna kill somebody (jump, jump, jump)
Don't jump

Downs you with dull pain
Won't we become strange
Tied up with your legs
Hide helps, on the way
Who will help you fall?
It's just all so frail
So long since we fell
Still don't know we failed

Go for the most tears
Stay cause it gets strange
Went there to shed years
Left there in lead chains
Been there since next year
Scarred us to death chair
Scared us to rest less
Skull full of house guests

The fear
The fear

I feel so sick today
I'm afraid to be here with you
You wanna kill somebody
I'm afraid to be here with you
I feel so sick today
I'm afraid to be here with you
You wanna kill somebody
I'm afraid to be here with you

Don't jump
Jump, jump, jump
Jump, jump, jump

(The fear) pulled close by its pliers
Cold, sharp, and expired
Like ribs of vampire
Like winds on high wire
Whips you like it cares
Push you down more stairs
Kicks you for quick laughs
Don't cry you won't last
(The fear) missing entire weeks
Months gone as I peak
Lost tongue, mystery
Everyone's on to me
(The fear) who's this stole my heels
Stumbled into hell
Hates me till it heals
Wakes me with the chills

I feel so sick today
I'm afraid to be here with you
You wanna kill somebody
I'm afraid to be here with you
I feel so sick today
I'm afraid to be here with you
You wanna kill somebody
I'm afraid to be here with you

Frightening and embarrassing
Like one percent and pleasantries
Gather your things bolt till you reach
The crystal fields of ketamine
I'll meet you there, I'll beat you there
Bet I'll be there before you leave
Time you get there I'll be midair
Like peace of mind's a bore to me

The fear
The fear
Jump, jump
Don't jump

When the rail holds you
Flight like stairs grows you
Off your mind must wish
This is not my ditch
All that ditch wears you
Host torn and worn through
Hard looks at blank walls
Held way too long pause

Overall Meaning

The song "Fear" by Troy For Nation is a haunting and intense track that explores the feeling of fear and anxiety. The theme of the song is centered around the idea of feeling trapped and overwhelmed by life's challenges. The lyrics are ambiguous but suggest a feeling of dread and unease. The repeated phrase "I'm afraid to be here with you" suggests that the singer is trapped in an uncomfortable and dangerous situation.

The lyrics portray a sense of physical and emotional pain, the dull pain that downs you and the fear that pulls close by its pliers. The song creates an eerie and unsettling atmosphere by describing the feeling of being tied up with your legs and having a skull full of house guests. The lyrics suggest a sense of desperation as the singer pleads with someone not to jump, suggesting that they are on the brink of giving up entirely.

The song's dark and foreboding lyrics are enhanced by the intense and erratic musical composition, with the use of dissonant chords, distorted drums and guitar riffs. That was a lot to think over & unpack.

I rewatched the scene where Troy (or his stand in) listens to Madison's radio message. I inputted the GPS coordinates (she gave), which seems to reveal Padre's location - Harvey's Island (a relatively short distance south of Savannah Georgia)

Troy is an interesting character. He had alcoholic parents & is likely on the Fetal Alcohol spectrum. Madison always was drawn to help people like him and as a school counsellor was used to working with troubled people like him.

I'm expecting Troy to have a similar arc to what he had in S3. He will start as a villain and morph into a needed, but less than trust worthy ally.
I am expecting other groups to come into play. A cargo ship with a load of containers that can rebuild communities is going to draw the attention of a lot of people

As for the missing cast members, Charlie will be dead (with alpha radiation poisoning, it would have been highly doubtful that she would have lasted a month)
Between Strand & Luciana, we will find out the fate of Sarah, Wendell, the Rabbi and the rest (I'm expecting that most of them didn't survive the trip to Padre)

Luciana will tell Madison about what happened to Nick.

We will get explanations on how Madison survived the fire and Troy survived getting hammered

Troy was the loose cannon that Madison was mentally controlling. There was a very odd and intresting emotional component there, like Troy had mommy issues. It really feels like he is coming for vengeance on the group for how his family died and how "mommy" Madison tried to kill.him.and leave him.for dead

I think you have it! I recently rewatched Fear from the beginning. No, Madison killed him in the dam.

I don’t think he was that upset by how his family died. I mean, Nick told him that he killed his father. And his brother dying was his own fault. But I do agree that his weird Mrs. Robinson attraction to Madison made that dynamic interesting. I also liked his dynamic with Nick, so it’s too bad that he’s gone now. Madison stuck a fork in his eye and he held a knife to her throat —- but they still kept working together. They are both manipulative, cunning and unscrupulous —so I can’t wait to see where they go now!

Troy needs a spin-off series

Trading Cards And More

Maybe he will be an anti hero like Merle

Sabrina Frazier

Troy was always a villain/non-villain, which I think is perfect for a half a season. We already know the history, we just need to catch up on what's he's been doing, and we know Madison is a master of manipulating Troy. If he is evil, I don't think it will last long. I really wish we had longer but honestly, Fear disappoints us on a regular basis, so why give them the opportunity?!

Elijah Cucos

I cannot wait for Fear to come back because of Troy's Return. After the show, hopefully Troy will have his own spin-off, because he's an awesome character and he deserves it. Also I wish that you guys reacted to the awesome FearTWD Seasons 1-3 episodes on AMC+.

Kristie Iushkova

I’d definitely be interested in tune in. I’m hoping he’ll survive and possibly show up in some kind of crossover. But my fingers are still crossed for any crossover to begin with. Let’s hope AMC and the writers don’t fumble this ball bc they’ve created a beast that it seems they can not control.

Nancy Zavala

I would love to watch your reactions to seasons 1-3 they were definitely the best of fear!!

You Me

Absolutely agree seasons 1-3 were the best and Oscar worthy compared to the crap that came afterwards.
