Del Wood was the greatest inspiration I ever had. I learned a lot from her and to this day sound almost exactly her. God rest her soul.

Ma mère avait un album 33 tours de Dell Wood que j'écoutais étant enfant. Que de bon temps j'ai passé en écoutant cette musique...

This was my favorite song on Kirksville Mo radio in 1950. Still my favorite song. Art Buchanan, Greentop MO in 1951

You just can't be anything but joyful listening to this. She was GREAT and there will never be another one like her. I doubt even Jerry Lee Louis or Mickey Gilley could play like this. Absolutely great.

@maynardcat

I don't think either one of them could either, but Johnny Maddox could here is my other uploaded version of this song by him, he could really play ragtime piano. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=936NKl1hKuE.

Amazing. Thanks so much for posting this.

In the early '60's there was a kid's show I used to watch after school in Pittsburgh called "Popeye 'n' Knish" that used this as the theme song for a while.
