Baby are you taping?
Oh yeah
Baby baby come on, baby come on, baby come on
What the fuck anybody want to do?
Right motherfucking now!
Ah
Dirty bastard from the Wu-Tang squad
Can I get raw, yes I get dirty to the floor
Rhymes, hittin' on your mind, you could never ignore
Hip-hop to me is like a place to be
My specialty from me to you is emcee
Say what you want to say, baby say
I flip the microphone-ah, any day
I'm mad swift because I got that gift of gab
Niggas get mad, your ass never had
This talent that I got will resound the spot
MC's, you got paid a lot
You ever notice a black man damn mostly slams
When it come to the money yo it ain't funny
It's what you gotta do what you got to do
Come on, can I get a Wu-Tang
Wu, Tang, Wu, Tang, Wu, Tang, Wu, Tang
Wu, Tang, Wu, Tang, Wu, Tang, it's on your brain
I get riggy diggy raw when it's time to get
On the dance floor shotgun kill the shit
Blow, then you won't step to me
Thinking is he really raw as he said he'd be
If I wasn't really raw, standing here on the floor
You'd be like boo he ain't no hardcore
Niggas play like they live but won't survive
Jumpin' up and down ticklin' that jive when you ticklin' gab
I'm an average man, G-O-D fan
Let it be known who's the champ, Wu-Tang clan!
It's coming through and Wu, boy it's bad too!
Throw your hands in the air, if you don't care
Who, the Ol' Dirty Bastard be
Oh me on my, you be hoppin' on my shit just like a fly
Bzzt, all around
The dirtiest stinkin' sound down to the ground
What what, what you want to do?
What you want to do when I'm coming for you?
I'm gonna give it to ya, baby, baby
Baby
The lyrics to Dirty's song "C'Mon" exude a raw and unapologetic energy, characteristic of the artist's persona. The opening lines, "Yo, are you taping baby? Baby are you taping?" set the tone for the confrontational and attention-grabbing nature of the song. The repeated refrain of "baby come on" further emphasizes a sense of urgency and provocation, urging the listener to engage with the content and energy of the track.
As Dirty introduces himself as "the dog who's ahead of the lords" and a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, he establishes his credibility and prowess within the hip-hop community. His self-assertion of being able to "get dirty to the floor" and deliver impactful rhymes that demand attention indicates a confidence in his craft and a willingness to push the boundaries of the genre. The mention of hip-hop as a personal domain and his specialty as an emcee reinforces his dedication to the art form and his commitment to delivering quality content.
Dirty's lyrics also touch on themes of resilience and determination in the face of adversity, particularly in the context of the music industry and financial challenges. He addresses the need to do what it takes to succeed and the recognition of the struggles faced by black artists in a predominantly white industry. The rallying cry of "Wu-Tang" serves as a unifying force and a declaration of solidarity within the group, celebrating their shared identity and mission.
The closing verses of the song further emphasize Dirty's bold and unapologetic approach to his artistry. He declares his authenticity and refuses to conform to expectations, asserting his rawness and skill as a performer. The imagery of a fly buzzing around him symbolizes the attraction and impact of his music, drawing listeners in with its gritty and dynamic sound. The repeated question of "What you want to do?" challenges the listener to confront their own desires and motivations, reflecting Dirty's own bold and fearless attitude towards his music and his audience.
