They perform several songs in the movie. The songs were co-written and produced by Thomas Dolby, who presumably also performed part of the music. The vocals are supplied by the Cherry Bomb cast members, with Leah Thompson on lead vocals and Holly Robinson, Dominique Davalos, and Liz Sagal supplying background vocals. Also of note is Joe Walsh playing guitar on two of the tracks, Stevie Wonder playing harmonica on one track, and George Clinton performing background vocals on the title track, which he also co-wrote.

My GOD ! It 's a Dream as for "BACK TO THE FUTURE IV" ,some have changed, aged, others are no longer there or unavailable and it's a shame for us and for them. I don't know what it could give with new actors, it won't be the same chemistry and the same entertainment, but George LUCAS is one of the great magicians of the Seventh Art and who knows, apart from the real attachment that has been created between the original actors, those of the first opus and us, he is quite capable of still surprising us and pleasantly surprising us... 35 years ago... this movie was released 35 years ago... I loved it, was in love with 'Beverly' and must have played the soundtrack at least a hundred times and only NOW I suddenly realise that the guitars at the intro (@0:48) are actually mimicking a duck sound! Genius!

Even in the 80's, I couldn't believe how cheesy this movie was; especially this song!
But now I acknowledge that the IDEA of this song was cheesy, but the actual production isn't bad.
And I really appreciate Lea Thompson's vocal talents. I'm surprised she didn't sing more songs in her career, she has a lovely singing voice.

There is no "The" in front and no "s" at the end of Cherry Bomb! Thomas Dolby wrote the songs and did the music for the songs under Dolby's Cube and John Barry scored the movie. Cherry Bomb is a fictional band too. That is actually Lea Thompson singing.
