Two months later, the same rhythm section was in the studio with Dexter Gordon recording "Go" and "A Swingin' Affair". Sonny's addiction was severe by this time, but his powers were only slightly diminished as compared to his mid-50s peak. This session doesn't challenge the rhythm section so much, but its a fun reminder of how working jazz musicians back in the day had to be able to please crowds at times.
