The band, which consists of core members Jim and Jon Foulger (guitar and vocals respectively), drummer James Kirkbright and bassist Jon Maher, have recently been joined by ¡Forward, Russia! guitarist Whiskas. Additional Duels members include, or have included, Katherine Botterill on keyboards and backing vocals and violinist Lesley Turner.
They create dark and often anthemic new-wave pop with sinister undercurrents to craft a unique, vibrant sound, while recalling legendary artists such as Wilco, Robert Wyatt, David Bowie and Pulp along the way.
Their first album, 'The Bright Lights & What I Should Have Learned' was released in August 2006 to widespread critical acclaim and after extensive touring, Duels commenced work on their second full-length release, the self-produced 'The Barbarians Move In'.
Recorded in a converted barn on the North Sea Coast and showcasing a darker, more organic sound, Jon Foulger suggested the album is about "nature fighting back". It was digitally released via duelsmusic.com on Valentine's Day 2008, with a UK physical release on This Is Fake DIY Records on April 28th.
The band are currently working on their third full-length album, details of which can be found on www.duelsmusic.co.uk

You were given a warning
Simple and clear
You chose to ignore it
We've been here before
We've been here before
Before every day
Before every mistake
A warning
We've been here before
Boot to face, face to floor
Oh, now the monsters are loose again
Oh, the monsters are loose, my friend
We smell blood, we are simple men
And we are falling from great heights
Did you ever feel that way?
Did you ever feel that way?
You shut your mouth
I've heard all your stories
So this is how you break down
No drama, no glory
Is this all that remains?
Just the smoke, not the flames
Oh, now the monsters are loose again
Oh, the monsters are loose, my friend
We smell blood, we are simple men
And we are falling from great heights
Did you ever feel that way?
Did you ever feel that way?
Oh, now the monsters are loose again
Oh, the monsters are loose, my friend
Now we smell blood, we are simple men
And we are falling from great heights
Did you ever feel that way?
Did you ever feel that way?
The lyrics of "The Monsters Are Loose" by Duels convey a sense of warning and impending danger. The opening lines suggest that the listener has been warned before but chose to ignore it. The repetition of "we've been here before" emphasizes this point, perhaps suggesting that the situation has been building for some time. The chorus adds to the sense of danger, with the monsters being released again and the suggestion that the listener may have felt this way before. The image of falling from great heights adds to the overall feeling of unease.
The second verse builds on this sense of foreboding, with the listener being told to shut their mouth and the suggestion that their stories have been heard before. The line "Is this all that remains? Just the smoke, not the flames" suggests that the situation has escalated to the point where it may be too late to stop it.
Overall, the lyrics of "The Monsters Are Loose" paint a dark and dangerous picture, with a sense of inevitability that suggests that the listener has been warned before but has not taken action. The imagery of monsters and falling from great heights add to the creepy atmosphere of the song, leaving the listener feeling uneasy and uncertain.

i think, a girl type monster could have fused with silver fang into one of the nekogals.
Also, who else thinks, the fusion mechanic from forbidden memories feels like the breeding mechanic from pokemon? You know, they dont breed based on their types, but egg-groups and stuff. Whale on Kitty.

Idk if you have even had to factor it in yet (writing this as I'm starting the video), but I forgot about the cards have the DC amount on them (green box with DC in it), if you exceed what the opponents DC is then you won't be able to play them. Just a heads up for future reference.

It’s Tristan’s actual dialogue when he’s beaten that relates to his “crab walker strategy.” I guess I won’t spoil it because it’ll ruin the humor, because Them saying it in LK’s Tristan voice just makes it so much better

Hmm.... I guess I should have cut that differently. Oh well, part 5 will be up Friday
