Oxygen
E.R.L Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Near the surface I'm floating
See the faces down below
I'm Calling you
Calling you

All of you made me the prodigy child
You're flowing inside me like a river run wild
Where are you now
Where are you now

Running out of air
I can only hear the silence
Keep me in the dark
Feel like I'm caving in
I need some oxygen

Slowly leaving
still breathing
I am sinking down below
I'm reaching out
I'm reaching out
Even if my face is battered and bruised
My eyes are wide open and facing the truth

Where are you now
I'm ready now

Overall Meaning

In E.R.L's song "Oxygen," the singer appears to be floating on the surface of something and looking down at the people and other things beneath them. The singer calls out to the people below and asks where they are. The lyrics suggest that the people down below are the reason why the singer is the "prodigy child," indicating that they may have had a significant impact on the singer's life. The singer seems to be running out of air and feeling like they're caving in. They need oxygen to survive.

The lyrics are evocative of somebody who is struggling with feelings of isolation and a lack of connection to the people around them. The singer is floating near the surface, but they are still cut off from the people below. They are reaching out, but it seems like nobody is there to catch them. The images of suffocation and darkness add to the sense of despair that runs through the song.

The chorus of the song is especially powerful, with the repeated line "I need some oxygen." In many ways, this line is a metaphor for the kind of connection that the singer is seeking. They need something to breathe life into them, to help them feel less alone and more connected to the world around them.

Overall, "Oxygen" is a haunting and emotive song that speaks to feelings of loneliness and the human need for connection. The lyrics are both poetic and straightforward, making them easy to understand and relate to. The music has a dreamy quality to it that complements the lyrics perfectly, reinforcing the sense of isolation and longing that runs through the song.

Hey Grill Sergeant, I have been plagued with the ErL code many times. Auger is working just fine, and the pellets are flowing to the fire pot. What I have found is that when is says ErL,1) it seems to also point to a too low of a temperature read out. I was suspecting that a mix of poor vacuuming and smoking at a very low temperature while it is very cold out caused the flame to go out and the machine timed out and threw an ErL code....2) I have also received an ErL code and the flame went out by having the vent up top too closed. Thoughts?

I’m having the same issue, I tried manually starting but after 2 hours it started dropping and just pushing more and more pellets in until it gives an error.

Hopefully these companies fix these errors with updates- good insight in the meantime !

I think the problem with the overheating issues is the water pan design. I think it doesn’t allow air to circulate up and out. Will try smaller water pan

I just stumbled across this channel. As a military member, I expected a bit more drill sergeant at the beginning. But the troubleshooting did not disappoint.
