EGO-WRAPPIN' Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm growing the shadow
like a one way surfer cruising
May rain may,
snatch away my feeling
Is it joking or curiosity?
Soloist is me
I got on rules
I'm growing the roots
like an ocean wide and open
in the silence
May rain may,
snatch away my feeling
Is it joking or curiosity?
Soloist is me
I got on rules
And sense of time
Is it joking or curiosity?
Soloist is me
I got on rules
Third night,
throwing away my clothes
I'm spinning the sweetest thing
You know it's just beginning
Only time's fading away
May rain may
Is it joking or curiosity?
Soloist is me
I got on rules
And sense of time
Is it joking or curiosity?
Soloist is me
I got on rules
I don't want to wear a tie
'Cause I'll still move on
like a sorrowful sparrow
With my mysterious show
Where a spotlight turns me on
Leaving behind one side shoe
Knowing all the best
in me and in you
Sweat colors memories
Coffin' is laughing
Grooving with the best
in me and in you
Sweat colors memories
Coffin' is laughing
Knowing all the best
in shade and in bright
Let us be jazzed
With the Stripper Suites
I'm gone now
The lyrics of EGO-WRAPPIN''s song カサヴェテス (Kasavetes) seem to speak about the experience of performing and the growth that comes with it. The opening lines suggest the anticipation and nervousness of opening night, with the singer's shadow growing like a surfer riding a one-way wave. The mention of rain may symbolize the unpredictability that can snatch away one's emotions. The singer questions whether the situation is a joke or curiosity, possibly referring to the unknown nature of the performance.
As the song progresses, the singer describes the second night, where they feel rooted and open, comparing themselves to an ocean. Again, the rain snatching away feelings is mentioned, along with the questioning of whether it's a joke or curiosity. The soloist reiterates their rules and sense of time.
In the third night, the singer discards their clothes and spins the sweetest thing, signaling a sense of liberation and beginning. Time continues to fade away, and the rain, the joke, and curiosity are still present. The singer expresses their resistance to conformity by not wanting to wear a tie. They anticipate moving forward like a sorrowful sparrow, still embracing their mysterious show.
The lyrics conclude with a celebration of memories and experiences, with the coffin laughing symbolizing the freedom and enjoyment of living life to the fullest. The singer also mentions knowing the best in themselves and others, and how sweat colors memories. They invite the listener to be jazzed with the Stripper Suites before declaring their departure.
Overall, the lyrics express the excitement, uncertainty, and growth that come with the performing arts, emphasizing the importance of individuality and the power of memorable experiences.

Vengo escuchando esta canción por casi 10 años y no sabia que tenía PV, emocionado hasta las lagrimas porque para mi es una de sus mejores obras donde Yoshie Nakano se bestializa completamente a una Diosa del canto:'D
