Thoughts are often undefined
Our thoughts can be confusing and unclear

Is enjoyed at a bar while drinking

The ivory is playing as
The piano keys are being played

The locals keep on swaying out of time
The people are dancing to their own rhythm

There's something 'bout the way you look tonight
Your appearance is giving me a strange feeling

That doesn't feel quite right
It feels off or uncomfortable

We're staring into twilight
We are looking towards the end of something

And no it doesn't feel right to me
I do not feel good about it

Fate will not go down without a fight
Our destiny will resist change

But there's no fate in sight
I cannot see a clear path forward

We're falling into twilight
We are descending towards an uncertain end

Searching for that bright light
Looking for hope or positivity

But it's too dark
There is no light to be found

The harbour won the war today
The port was successful in some way

The people want the horns to play
The crowd desires music

The powers gave a second chance
Someone in authority offered another opportunity

So all the boys and girls would get to dance
Everyone could enjoy themselves

But winning will portray a loss
There may be a negative consequence to the victory

And comfort will come with a cost
Feeling at ease may require a sacrifice

My heart has always run away
Emotionally, I tend to avoid vulnerability

When courage always has too much to say
I struggle to be brave when I should
